Broken Cup Holder?
After i opened it last time to put my drink on, I couldnt seem to close the cupholder anymore, do you guys know whats the problem with it? Do i have the replace the whole thing? My car is out of warranty also, how much im looking for it brand new? dont have money if its above 100bucks 
Thanks in advance. Before it was broken, everytime i pressed the open button, it just snapped out really fast like the spring was broken already.

I went to the dealership about a month ago because my cup holder cover broke. I asked how much was the cupholder and it was about $75. You can get it on ebay for about $50 as mentioned before.

I have the same problem. Check to see that the part that folds in and out isnt out of place. Sometimes it pops out too far and wont close. All you have to do is kind of pop it back in place. Do you have pictures??? It may not be broken! it is one flimsy piece of junk!

i think i figured out the problem. it looks like there are some pennies stucked under that thing because i put too much coin before. Does anyone know how to remove the cupholder?

Has anyone else had problems with the chrome strip on the rim of the cupholder peeling? Mine is totally peeled off...I'm going to have it replaced on my next visit.

the cup holder breaks very often. to get it out, remove the rubber on the bottom of the cup holder area. I am referring to the small piece that holds the second can of coke. Then twist the cup holder out.

I got the rubber piece out, but can't figure out how to "twist the cup holder out" without breaking it. A previous post included a graphic (below) that shows an area you are to press with your finger, but I don't see that. Any further tips?

If you spilled a soda or coffee in there you can try spraying some cleaner to break it free. I had the problem getting mine out at first. I think I paid around $60.00 at the dealer.
