I'm confused...
lolll yeap, my city lights are freakin bright, themselves illuminate the road! (seriously, in a really dark situation, JUST city lights, you can see it illuminate part of the road!)

but as for headlights/fogs etc. I did use LED 9006/H3 bulbs before I purchased the HID kit, they are crappy, not close to even being "bright".

I wouldnt waste anymore money "trying out" bulbs, led bulbs, etc. especially for headlights/fogs. the best way to do is HID or OEM BIXENON!

as for my LEDs, like I have always said... I am using, single filament polarized 12v super bright led. Those "6 bulb/8bulb wide/narrow angle, super white bulbs" are crappy as hell. I just saved it for my interior light!

mmk...well that answers my question...

I'll be returning the LEDs lol!

What do you guys think of the Mtec HID kits??

(Do HID kits also have that spherical projector lens? or is that only on OEM bi-xenon??) ya know what i'm talking about?

Would it be too much trouble for some pics?

I'd love to see how they look

After comparing the k1 kit and the mtec kit K1 looks much more appealing

Yes, you need load equalizers for the city lights. The MB computer senses the change in draw and will shut the circuit off. However, the load equalizers don't need to be expensive genuine load equalizers. Like I said above, just use a second set of sockets- scotch lock them onto the leads, and use the old bulbs. Curl it up and leave it behind the black covers- make sure the old bulbs are not touching the back sides of the reflectors. Ive had mine in for two years now. Works fine. If you want LED turn signals like I have, you'll need to use real load equalizers though.

TO dwawg-
Yes, real load equalizers run hot, place them were they won't do any harm.

So what people have been doing to run these led's in the city light position is tapping the wires to add another 194 bulb socket, putting the normal bulb in that socket and putting the led in the city light position and running 2 city lights? one hanging inside lit up and one in the led pos??!

yea, you CAN do that, and the other way is using a resistor.

Talking Mu9enx's C320 No Go Mods Thread

saw that everyone else is making a thread about their car, so here goes my baby's big debut. this is going to be one big post!

01' C320, my first real car and my baby. also my first time being interested in German automobiles, never really moved away from JDM.

Phase I:

first mod ever: flat hood badge, followed by Depos [yes i know, but it works fine for me] headlights took forever to put on also had a Phillips HID kit with 4300k bulbs

DIY painted side markers

titanium tinted at California Tint
, $130, without moleskin though 35% up front and 15% rear

DIY debadge

so happy for now

at this point, my front bumper is all messed up because some dumbass that i was behind ran over a busted tire in the freeway, shooting it back at me. going around 80mph and really didn't even see it coming. knocked out my right foglight and my HID ballast, broke my phillips' hid bulb, and busted up my impact strip, sidemarker light plus most of my right side wiring. temp sensor got messed up also, reads 185 F.

Phase II: ///AMG exterior conversion [sorta]

always wanted to update my bumpers to ///AMG spec, finally able to figure out everything, as a lotta people know from my constant questions in the forum.

got the front and rear bumpers done, along with the ///AMG mesh grilles and foglights with yellow nokya bulbs. [the fogs don't work until i can get a new set of the entire wiring systems] only got a few night pics so far [don't have a camera]

+ got used Techone hid kit from yeuchau + blue city bulbs

i'm 18 going to UCR, so my mods are limited to the amount of money/financial aid i have. i know its dumb, but i've always wanted to mod my first car, making it personal ya know. you guys are a inspiration for me and when the next FA comes, i'll have my rims and drop. [H&R springs + Koni shocks are sitting in my cousin's garage as of now.]

bonus pic of my first first toy, my 94' toyota truck, [American Racing rims] and my new toy while camping out at BestBuy on Black Friday in Sacramento:

PS, anyone know where i can get a ///AMG rear bumper tow hook cover? seems that i can't use my old one

looks good man. I'd say maybe a grille and wheels and tires and you're done.

you might wanna think about felt/moleskin for your tint job. better safe then sorry ya know.

check an oem parts site for the tow hook cover. shouldnt be that hard. worst case scenario, hit up the stealership. shouldnt be that much.

What about yours mods is "go go", I'd say they are "show show", moreso been done before therefore "so so".

i meant "go go" as in "go, mods!" but with an extra go to make it seem more interesting. something like go go gadget; does nothing, but it just has a certain flow to it.

thanks for all your comments!
i know i have a long way to go, and it's killing me, haha.
btw, does anyone know any shops that can put on springs/shocks for a good price? i've been quoted around $200-$450 without any sort of hook up. thanks in advance!
as soon as the FA comes in i'll be able to get:

- rims
- drop
- roof spoiler/trunk spoiler
- s-class taillights

just waiting for the rims and the drop before i put on my EuroTeck lip, cl grille and some money to put on my magnaflow exhaust.

until then

Will your magnaflow include a new resonator too? If so... iick you wont have to many passengers fighting over shot gun the second time around! It may sound good to the driver, but if you have frequent passengers, the droning while cruising it will get annoying!! I ended up with ditching the secondary cats and resonator and using a used AMG muffler. Not too loud, but not quiet either This was on my 03' C320 Sport Sedan. I also tried leaving all stock exhaust and chopping off the OEM muffler and welded a Y splitter with the AMG tips (just on drivers side) Every body outside the car said it sounded like a race car! I thought so, but apparently none of my passengers.

hmmm, sounds VERY interesting. that's one of my gripes bout the magnaflow.. cuz i travel between norcal and socal a LOT, so i don't know if i should have a free flowing exhaust or not.. just thinking about cruising at 80-90mph for 5-6 hours .. if i could be able to find a c32 muffler [or two for a dual exhaust setup, like the c55], i'll be happy to use it. btw, can the c55 exhaust fit onto my car easy? or is it some type of pro shop work?
