W203/CL203 City Light Thread (LED, HID, bulbs) - All you want to know
looks like a second vendor to add to the success list of city light LED's fellas...however, lets see how long the glory lasts!
.I'm in a dilemma because the stock 194 wedge bulbs are too yellow for my low beam bulbs, but the LEDs are too white/blue.
Thank you for correcting me on the SMD LEDs, looks like I spoke too soon

If the LEDs give errors I would give the PIAAs a try.
Also w3i why did you go out and spend money on the high beam? Why would you need PIAA high beams? The reason I say is they are min 40 bucks. That is a lot of money for bulbs you hardly use.
PIAA Xtreme White all around

You'd have to forgive my splurging. I recently purchased the C230 so I'm in a perpetual state of itching for mods. I am also waiting for the PIAA Xtreme White 168 wedge bulbs to come in the mail. Here's to hoping that they will match my Luminics.
P.S. Your fogs look great!

those r white 5000k low beams with 4300k or close city light bulbs.. they match and compliment the low beams very well and arent like most of the leds that look way dify.. i have some for sale real cheap if anyone wants
will it give errors or is it a hit or miss?
its really cheap and free shipping

First pic is the Osram Rallye bulb pattern, 65 watts. Definitelly looks a little bluer in the pics, but in real life, the difference is not that noticeable.
The second pic is the stock 55 watt bulb pattern. Looks a little yellower, not as bright, and doesn't seem to be as wide of a beam or go as far.
Third pic, head on. Not really much of a difference in the pic, and even less of a difference to the naked eye.
Fourth pic, Osram on the left, stock on the right next to the key. Not really a whole lot of difference. Spiraled filament area does seem a bit longer/bigger in the Rallye. H9 bulb glass seems a little thicker at the base. But overall, pretty similar.
Goods about these bulbs:
1. Don't worry about getting flashed for having lights that are too bright. Not really all that different than stock. Most people (non enthusiasts) will never notice.
2. Don't worry about plastic melting and temperature. Yes, the Osram lens did feel a tad warmer, but only a few degrees. No fear of plastic melting or fires here.
3. They are brighter than stock, and bluer, and only 40 bucks a pair.
4. They are halogens, and no worry about throwing codes or high light scatter like some aftermarket HIDs.
The only other:
1. Has for "offroad use only" plastered all over the box, so not street legal. But to be honest, I don't think a cop in the world can look at these and think they are too bright for on coming traffic, or any different than stock without a side by side comparison.
Overall, I give them a
Hope this helps someone, someday.

are the Extreme White PIAA's used as your parking lights or the low beams shown in the pic? Sorry im a bit confused and needa make sure whats what before ordering them for my buddy.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Are there certain wedge LEDs (194/168) for the parking lights that don't cause it to blink? SMD LEDs?
Also, any issues with putting an HID kit in the low beams? Do I need to take it to Diagnostics to tell the computer Im using HIDs...not halogens?
Thanks in advance.

They are kinda too dim for my tastes, is there anything brighter available that I can purchase, preferably LEDs that will produce no error codes and faults?
Thanks!
I've gotten a tremendous amount of helpful information from this forum, so I'm attempting to give back by sharing a recent purchase I made. Please forgive me if this is a double post, or if I'm violating any forum rules.
I learned, from previous posts, that the SMD LED bulbs eliminate the need for extra electrical modifications, so I went ahead and purchased a pair of "GP Thunder SMD 194 LED Lights." I originally saw the LEDs on eBay (seller: premierteknet112222), but later found out that the seller is a warehouse located in City of Industry, CA. Since I live in Walnut, I drove over and made the purchase in person.
I pulled the halogen bulbs out with pliers and installed the LEDs (PnP). Fortunately, NO error messages showed up.
I've attached some pictures of the LEDs in action. The LEDs are actually white in color, though my camera makes them look blue. My low beam bulbs are "Luminics Krypton Titanium White H7s," and my high beam bulbs are "PIAA Xtreme White Plus H7s." Please let me know if more pictures are needed. Thanks!
Here is the link to the LEDs I purchased:

P.S. The warehouse manager charged me $18 OTD for 1 pair of LEDs. He kindly said that a group discount for bulk purchases is available. Also, I bought the 9LEDs/bulb version, but there are also 5LEDs/bulb and 25LEDs/bulb versions available.
Can you take some more pictures of you low beams?
Where can I get those low beam bulbs?
When i put the key in the ignition, it says something about the left parking lamp.
What should I do? Go to dealer?

Need some help replacing some of the interior bulbs.
Anyone know how to remove the bulb at the front (not the wedge bulbs the other one).
Also at the back - how to remove the two bulbs.
Looking at them id say they are festoons just like the number plate and boot lights.
But getting to them and taking them out is a tough one.
Any pics would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

Your car looks great. Listen, I have been searching online without any luck. I actually am looking to do the same as you did on your doors, surrounding the window controls with the carbon fiber adhesive. How do i actually get that part off of the door? what is involved? do you have a step by step process you can email me or pictures showing the process? Does it even come off on its own or is the whole door panel one entire piece? you can email me at drh64 at juno dot com.
thank you very much in advance i really look forward to hearing back from you !
Regards, DRH64
Which city light bulbs are pure white like the Philips? And also not give a error code.

I know I had tried the LED's once and they blinked, now I know why are reading through a lot of this thread. What resistor should I order in order to use the LED's on both the city lights and the sidemarkers?
