only ones i've tried for the city lights were the philips blue visions and the polargs. both of which worked fine.
but i don't think they were any brighter. just whiter light. didn't like either set though for different reasons.

I have the Polarg's M-4 city lites.
Although they are "blue" the lite output is white - very close to the Bi-xenon color...here's stock vs the Polarg(L).

go here, get the mini max if you want really bright, and get the eaglite's if you want a blue white color.
this picture has the mini max bulbs in the side marker lights, same exact bulb. i use the eaglites for the city light bulb though.
put in this discount code and get 10% you entire order.

Actually the manual calls them "standing" lights, which sounds like German for "parking" lights to me. So, I think its safe to describe City Lights as good ole American Parking lights...

actually city lights are used in Europe in Large cities (ie Paris) where there is so much light in the city at night they dont really need to run around with full low beam....alternative is to include city light (similar to our daytime running lights).

I had the same problem with a friend's C240. I ended up not doing it myself. But the guy who helped me used some pliers and grabbed the sides of it and pulled it out. There are indents on the top and the bottom to hold it, but you can't get ahold of the bottom one enough to grab it. So use something to grab the sides without crushing it and just pull straight out.

It was a lot easier to do in my coupe. I don't know why they make it so much different in the sedan. My fog lights were a lot easier too. What kind of lights are you putting in? Do you have bi-xenon's yet?

the are CITY LIGHTS. again in europe in large cities there's so much light that ppl. dont drive around with even their low beams (too bright) so the city lights were introduced (just enough to show u're there).
as to remove them i guess the sedan is much different b/c on the coupe they're the easiest ones to remove. on the SIDE NOTE i tried to change my rear lights with brighter ones, found out that only the 3 on top are 1156 and the one at bottom is an 1157. Also, I dont know if u guys seen it, I accidently yanked out the rear lights module/house a bit more and a little wedge bulb came out. I guess its some sorta corner light and really dont do much but thought it was interesting. Its pretty well hidden beside the rear lights module below a screw.

They are called parking lights. Its a requirement. If the MB didn't have them, they wouldn't be street legal. I thought these city lights people were talking about were in addition to the parking lights.
Just looked in my C240 manual. They are called parking/standing lights in it. I guess an American wrote it
