Doing Lines...
Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines that is... har har har!
I just got the StopTech lines in (thanks K1Motorsport!) and they're going to get installed on Saturday along with a brake fluid flush where they're going to replace the fluid with ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid (yeeeeah, like it really matters with this car, but that's what the shop I take it to uses).

no, not yet. I'm going to wait a bit. the w203 is almost overdue for its brake fluid flush so I figure that this would be the perfect time to upgrade it on the C.
I only have 6,700 miles on the M3, so I don't really want to change it yet. I may do it at 10,000 miles. Incidentally, the shop that I'm having it done at, has a special for M3's and they actually have their own stainless steel braided brake lines specially made for the M3 and they only charge $150 for them INSTALLED. I'm going to be paying almost double to have it done on the w203.

damn! I'll be paying around $150 to have them installed along with the fluid flush. ![wall](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
I guess that's what I get for going to a place that specializes in M3's and Porsche's.
btw, how did they affect the C43?

alright, they're in.
all I can say is the brake feel is vastly improved! the brakes don't feel mushy at all, it feels more precise and it requires less pressure and effort to get the car to slow down. it was definitely definitely worth the money! for about $260 installed with a brake fluid flush and the ATE Super Blue Racing Fluid, it had to be one of the best mods for the money.
here are some shots:
![](http://nulud.com/images/line4.jpg)
they're easier to see on the rear brakes, the front brakes, not so much:

incidentally, like the spoiled child having a tantrum whenever another child gets something new, the M3 had a nail in it's front tire today. there was no air loss, so its tire pressure sensors never lit up. the shop I took it to had nitrogen filling for the tires, so I had it filled with nitrogen and I thought it would be a hokey gimmick, but it felt pretty good. I think I'm going to have the w203's tires filled with nitrogen in a bit...

get the lines from K1Motorsport! they hooked it up!
you know, I honestly don't know how many liters/quarts that they used... my shop already had the fluid on hand, so I didn't have to buy it anywhere. apparently tirerack sells the fluid though.

I'm not sure about my offset, the info (if I still have it, is on my comp at home).
there's absolutely no rubbing though if that's what you're looking for... they didn't rub with the T1-S's either.
