just cuz there's no dyno proof doesn't mean that this doesn't have a benefit.
I kinda made one too.....outta fiberglass though (and it doesn't look anywhere near as good as MIG's lol) and I feel better throttle response and better pull on the highway/top end.

Here's the thing. You do realize that mig888 is the FIRST to do a bored out throttle body on this engine, don't you? How do I know this? I have the 2nd one and the dyno was done on MY car.
So, I'd really save the insults for another member that HASN'T proven anything on this message board. Oh wait, how many posts have you had so far?
You want to know something else, my opinion is that the intake does produce performance. Again, you want to know why I feel that way? Because my car, again, was used to test the response before and after. Only reason a dyno was never done because it takes time to set that up and I didn't have time to donate my car.
Tell you what, if you are so hellbent on having a dyno done and you're "convinced" that this intake won't produce any power. How about YOU front the money to have a dyno done? If the intake doesn't produce any power, I'll REFUND you the money that you paid for the dyno. If the intake DOES produce horsepower on a dyno, you'll have the results you're asking for.
What do you say? Are you in? If so, I'll try to set a time for mig888 and I to do this on the weekend. I'll take pics, video and whatever the hell else proof you want.
Oh, and another thing, consider this your warning for being a NEWB and insulting well respected members of this forum who have done 10X's more for the m271 owners than A LOT of people have.

not that I doubt the scoop adds performance to our cars, but i dont think a dyno will justify the benefits of this mod. Mainly becasue this mod shines when you are going highway speeds and there is no way in hell that a fan can provide enough air for the intake.
im no engineer nor have i had the oppertunity to test the mod...just my two cents...

an example I suppose.
Because I'm not a lazy *******, I went to Password myself...saw two GT-Rs and something Italian...I asked about CF fabbing, strength, etc. and they used half a GT-R intake snorkel as an example. Came quite close to what I originally had in mind, but sort of dual for the M271s... anyway, food for thought:
