How about just putting the belt on, who knows you might save your life?

When I first got my car it olny beeped for 10-15 sec then would stop but I had to have my display replaced because some pixels went out and when I got it back it beeped until you put the seat belt on/or back on and it drives me nuts. I asked the SA what was up and he said that because they did a software update when they installed the new display that it was part of the update.

So your beeping, I think, is a software issue and would involve going into the settings and changing it. So good luck and if you figure it out let me know...

But that is like asking why people still smoke knowing that cancer sticks kill ya one way or another. People like to do their own things and dont want anyone pointing them in another direction, even if its right.

Many of the new cars, including my fathers 2007 jeep grand cherokee, the beep the DOES NOT STOP until you put your belt on...be happy with your few beeps...but my father says "at least it makes me wear my seat belt now" although my family has never really worn seat belts, since my father got into an accident several years ago and he was told that if he had a seat belt on, he could have died, since he was hit from the side so hard.

Not funny. I've been through a windshield, spent four hours having glass picked out of my face. Seriously......just wear the damn seatbelt.

I had Sunman turn this off for me. It worked for a few days and then came back. I always wear my seat belt, its when I have my dog in the passenger seat that it starts going off. It keeps beeping for about 45 seconds then it stops, until you slow down to less than 20km/h or so, then it starts again and goes another 45 seconds, etc, etc. Really annoying, and my dog doesnt like the seat belt done up

Oh brother, this is not a question I expected to be presented with by a Mercedes-Benz driver.

Frankly I wouldn't care if you didn't wear your seatbelt or not.

There had been an ongoing family struggle to persuade my wife to wear her belt. She would when together, but never alone. Her latest vehicle beeps when moving, if unbuckled.

Now she always buckles and that is fine by me.

Don't be surprised if the desired response is not received. I wouldn't provide that information either.

i always feel uncomfy or naked... OR unsafe when i don't have my seat belt, they are like something hugging me close to the seat so i won't move around when i drive, i only take them off when i need to do some back-up parking

anyway, i think only cars (any cars) from 05+ would have beeping feature for safety

my 02 coupe doens't, but my 05 X3 and 08 SLK does it...
