just done an alignment, how do i read this?
this was from Phil's M3 from what i remembered
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=alignment
all i was told from the SA was "your rear camber is mess up" so i was thinking.. am i over weighted coz it was rear left side??"
i told them my car was lowered and why just one side??
can anyone help me read this and did i spent the 60bux right compare to dealer ($170)

i'm no MB specialist. nor do i claim to know tons about tires and/or alignments. but i do know that from the numbers on the chart what he meant by "your camber is messed up" (<--lol by the way..) is that your rear left tire is leaning inwards. as in the top of the tire is leaning to close to the chassis of the vehicle. like a slash on your keyboard ----> /
anyways it seems as though its only what .1 degree away from the specified ranges.. in any case i'd say that your camber isn't too bad out of wack, but you should get it aligned properly

Disregard the ‘this value is not within specification…’ nonsense. If it has been read correctly, it’s within a minute of a degree of specification before their alignment. If it were mine, I would insist the technician set the toe much closer to the minimum tolerance. It only serves increase directional stability on straight-ahead uneven surfaces, at the expense of additional front tire wear.
How does it feel going down the road? Negative camber is a good if you like to hustle around the corners. It optimizes the load bearing (outside) tires’ contact patch during dynamic loading and helps to minimize tire wear while doing so.
Let us know if you ultimately seek to minimize tire wear, or prefer to get after it in a composed manner, so we can better answer your question(s).

well, you can't adjust the camber on the w203 without the camber arms. The factory spec gives you some negative camber at stock height and when you lower the car the camber increases. what you can do is measure the ride height on both side for the rear and see if your driver side is lower than the passenger side.
there's a lot of variation that can cause the suspension to sit un-even even when you have the coilover set to the same height on both side.
still if you don't want to have the negative camber you need those camber arms.
