personally not the fan of the CL-grille on any sedan, but...
this is the biggest CL-grille discussion thread and the more complete one, so I'll add to it here.
here's what I found recently that looks most like the MH-dezent grille which Drex has without the MH-dezent price.
here are some pics. only could find the silver version installed, but if it's the black one you won't see the top portion.
and lastly here's the one on ebay

I can help you guys to get this custom grille made.. It was on my car and look like this (without the vertical linings) 
Can use the 2005-2007 style grille too so it will be a "3 slatted" custom grille

That looks exactly like the Mattig sedan grille. And the Mattig sedan grille is cheaper than the price you're saying, if memory serves me correct.

This is custom made from the OEM grille. The quality is unquestionable. Anyways for those who are interested, I can only take order within this week. Can be made for other cars too as long as using the original oem grille.

Let me break it down. Mattig grille $240 + shipping from europe $40 + get it painted $100++? = $380++
So my price is still reasonable.
Again, I'm not forcing them to buy, I just want to help this board members out since these custom made grille is hard to find. It can be made easily in the north america. Most bodyshop can do it, but I bet it will cost more than $380 for sure.
Btw I make one too for my W211 and Im finally back to the mercedes club. I will keep the forum updated on my upcoming project

The price wont be much different with or without paint. About 30 bucks. Since getting it painted is not that expensive here in Indonesia.

cappa had his done on the 05+ sport grille. removing the the vertical slat made the grille extremely weak (the middle portion) He already had his cracked and repaired once already and it has cracked again. just a warning for whoever wants to do this. adding stronger support behind the horizontal slat would be a good idea too. cost around the same sexsphere posted or less.
I "think" the Mattig grilel will be more durable. painting the grille is about $80 where i'm at.

Hey guys, I decided to keep my car, and I wanted to ask your opinion on something. I have an Glacier White 2001 C240 Benz, and I wanted to get the white CL grill, I think it looks really nice, but my question is will this match the color of my car?

I contacted these guys about 4 months ago about there CL grilles and if they were color matched, They told me that they do not guarantee the color match, cuz they do not want to be responsible if it is slightly off. To be fair, he also told me that, they usually dont get any complaints.. Not sure where you are located, but if you are in so cal, they will let you see if it matches, there store is in North Hollywood..

it actually matches really well, but we have the alabaster white, acedking is looking for glacier white. Are these colors the same, did they change the color name maybe??
