Quote: Just running some size info by you guys, I don't think I'll have any trouble with this setup...but I've been wrong before, so let me know what you guys think.

19x8.5 fronts
35 offset
235/35/19

19x9.5 rears
35 offset
235/40/19
kev,

19x8.5 front, 235/35/19
19x9.5 rear, 255/35/19 or 265/30/19

btw, I'm gonna try 275/30/19 on my rear, I seriously think it's gonna rub.

no prob, but 235 on a 9.5 wheel is really stretched, the smallest I would go is 245,

I would go with 255/30 in the rear.
my HREs are 19x9.5R ET31, and they rubbed continuously when I ran 265/30's, but it went away when I went with 255/30
ET31 sticks out 4mm more than your ET35, but thats only 1/5"

235's on a 8.5 up front should be fine, until you decide to upgrade to coilovers...then the inner clearance will be a problem.

It also depends on the tire...Toyos and Falkens are skinnier than Goodyear or Michilen.

BTW, what wheels are you getting?

I have General tires and these tires are awfully boxy!

235s with rounded wall (Falkens/toyos )will do the trick with COs and 225s are too risky since your wheels would have less protection especially the lips..

You should be able to go to any reputable tire shop to have your tires mounted and balanced without any damage.

you'll need a 5 to 7 mm spacer to clear coilovers

Discount tire did mine and they were really gentle. They were babying my rims as they were mounting my tires.

I have the same ET as yours in the fronts and the lowest I can go is one finger gap..

Having a rounded tires would help to lower my fronts a little bit more.

Just thought I mentioned this, so that you can avoid spacers

Any reputable shop should be fine. The key is communication. I just keep telling them to be very careful.

I am in the socal and I just bought some falken fk452 from DTD. Went to a local shop: they balanced, mounted, installed new valve, disposed the old tires all for 50 bucks. for the price, I would say, they did a good job, handle my oem staggered rims with great care.

the only thing bothers me is they did not use torque wrench..but I could take care of that myself since I could torque the bolts at my garage.

Well I just joined this site today, been checking out the last 32 pages for a few hrs and now need help chosing a set of wheels for my C32. I have it narrowed down to 3 sets.

***Wheels removed, I have been advised that product quality with DPE is hit or miss.

I am looking to do 19x8.5 235/35/19 fronts and 19x10 265/30/19 rears, from what I've read in here that should work, right? (I'm on stock suspension)
Also what finishs would guys reccomend for a silver car? I'm thinking silver centre polished lip, black centre polished lip, or all polished.

Thanks In Advance

Tibi

I have an offer to get a set of wheel and tires for free from a '08 CLS550. I am 99% sure that the tires won't fit -- 275/40/18 rear and 245/45/18 front if I remember correctly. However, the rims are the AMG twin 5-spoke which I really like. My car has 17" factory wheels now. The person I am getting the wheels from hasn't a clue what size they are. She's probably 75 years old and wanted chrome wheels when she got her CLS.

Thanks for any help you can give this newbie.

My thoughts exactly. I was planning on selling the tires as I know they definitely won't fit . . . will see how it goes with the wheels.

Thinking about powder coating my BRABUS mono 5 black, any advice?
Kinda bored of my silver wheels and thinking about taking them black. my car is silver so i wanted to break up the color a little. still on the fence about going matte or gloss, to do the lip too or not. any feedback would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
