MBenzNL install trip - October
Steve of MBenzNL will be going to California around mid October, to do installs in San Francisco Bay Area and in Orange County LA. He will also be doing a ‘cross country tour’ from SoCal to Jacksonville FL during the first days of November. Even though he will be driving a lot, it is definitely possible to perform some small installs in some of the major cities Steve will be driving through. Such as:
Las Vegas, NV
Phoenix – Tuscon, AZ
El Paso – Houston, TX
New Orleans, LA
Mobile, AL
Tallahassee – Jacksonville, FL
The following installs are possible (and considered ‘small’ as in not so time taking):
* CD-rom comand (pre 2005)
* MCS II navigation (2005+)
* integrating iPod kit
* Sirius SAT radio (for both pre 2005 as well as for 2005+)
* integrating UHI / MHI phone kit
* bi xenons
If interested in getting something installed, please contact us at MBenzNL@gmail.com. Do keep in mind, that we will require deposits to confirm orders and to prevent Steve from hauling the parts in vain!!

This is what I want from Steve:
The CLC grill installed on my 04 coupe. Jerryrigged, of course, whatever it takes.
The CLC tails and matching hatch reflectors installed with bodywork done to smooth over the top where there is a big hole after the CLC lights are put in.
Sort of interested in Command. But what happens to the cassette player function? I do sometimes still need old cassettes... Plus iPod/Bluetooth.
Wonder if Steve could hook up a Mac Mini to the Command screen?

You can swap out your mirror blinker in about 15 minutes. The cost is about $35 if I remember correctly for the blinker. On the difficulty scale, this is a 1/10. The instructions are here:

don't really think it's the blinker at all. All the lights work fine.
It's either a faulty connector / bad MB OEM wiring gauge / or the pass-side door module.
I'm not too overly worried about it, just that the error message in the display is getting annoying.
