Help with 2002 C230K Power Window Switches
Both sides' window switch plates came loose. I suspect the stealer broke them when they worked on the windows while the car was still under warranty. My wife didn't discover it until after the warranty had run. And of course the stealers denied having anything to do with it.
These are the plates that has several plastic locking tabs/legs on the underside that secure the switchs to the door panel, just below the kinda L-shape "arm-rest". Each switch is slid into place (mount) on the underside this plate. The driver-side holds two switches, L and R window control, the passenger side holds one switch, just the R window.
Would anyone please tell me what are these plates called? What are the part numbers for both sides? Are there aftermarket ones? I just want to replace the plates, because the switches are working fine. Thank you in advance for your advice?
Cool

Well only new to all this but i would call it a trim panel I've seen them on the internet but only come as a complete set for everything unless you find the parts on e-bay I'd say ringing up the stealers. What trim have you got is it a wood trim

No, the C230K does not have wood trim.
I called the stealer today, gave them my VIN number. The parts guy said it is the "interior handle assembly" It does not sound right because it is actually away from the handle of the door. When I asked him to double check, he put me on hoooooooooooold!
I once found a site that shows some trim parts with names and part numbers for MB, but I can't find it now. Does anyone know if it still exist?

I just replaced this on the drivers side.
PN for grey is A2037270528-8G69
The last 4 digits are the color code, yours would be different.
Don't know the one for the passenger side.

Punch in above pn under pn search, it'll take you to the section that will tell you your color code + the other side.
BTW- Yeh, same thing, somebody else F'd this up, and tried to glue it.
I'm pretty picky about my car, though I'm hi mileage it's a Benz and I treat it that way, so I replaced this piece.
Be aware though, it costs like $80 + for each side.
Just for the stupid plastic piece. Each.
I'm guessing the right side is A2037270628 + color code.
Yes, it is...I looked it up.
A2037270628 9B51- Right $105 MSRP- 81.90 each online
A2037270528 9B51 Left

Hey C230, thanks a lot for your info. I am also very particular with my cars (this is my wife's car though). As you can see there are so many scratches on those plates. (somehow I couldn't upload the passenger side photo). Someone must be trying to take them out with a screw driver or something like that.
I'll definitely check out the website and sign up. My extended warranty ran out and everything is so darn expensive at the stealers. Thanks again.

Hey C230, how did you get to the underside of the platic piece to take the 3 screws off so I can screw a new switch plate on? It seemed to me that I have to disassemble the panel/speaker grill in order to access the screws. Am I correct? Your advice is appreciated.

Out Of Control!!
Anyone have any advice for the install of these window switch trim pieces? I have the same thing as the OP here, my switch assembly is very scratched up and also lifts up.
My assumption is that you have to remove the door panels, and screw them into place in the three places where there are parts that appear to accept the screws on the inside of the trim pieces.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

MBWorld Fanatic!
All these years later, and my passenger side window switch valence has given out.
(And I still have and drive the car! 250K miles!)
All the screw holes have failed.
Had to pull the door panels to remove tint, so badly scatched etc.
Hard to see out of car, better without it.
So fixing up the door panels.
All the plastic pieces that hold the pins that go into the door came unglued from the panel.
Trying out some construction glue.
Plus the valence. I'll have to see if I can order one.
And replacing a speaker grill while I'm at it.
Have had one in the closet for years. At the time, it was one of only 5 left anywhere.
Shout out to Tommy. He came to visit me once in Cali.
But sadly I heard he passed away due to Covid.
