I just put a single coat of clear on them with the can you get from the auto parts store so it's not the best. They're glossy but not as glossy as stock.

edit: Acetone is in the nail polish remover right? I used that and it seemed kinda melt the plastic.
The acetone wont damage the plastic but it will remove the clear coat that is on there. If you wanted to undo everything you take a rag with the acetone and then you would want to apply 2-3 coats of clear.

I like the new look better

its strange...I did that on my C230 and it worked perfectly, but when I did it on the C32, I had a License Plate Bulb Error. Nick (C24owner) also had the License Plate Bulb Error.

Hmm, maybe i'll just pass on it then. I've got to get some stealth bulbs for the turn signals or maybe some leds but then i'd have to hook up some resistors.

Was the 230 a MY2004 also? Maybe it's an issue that only arises on the newer ones. I wanna try it but don't want to splice into the wire if it's going to end up giving me an error message.

Hmm, the tint can be glossier and usually is, plus it's easier to remove. The can of paint is not that hard to work with. You just have to make sure your coats are nice and even. It can be just as glossy if you do the clearcoat right. I might put another coat of clear later on. I've heard that the tint is hard to apply though.

This is off Topic, but how much do tail lights like that of your coupe cost? I assume they are 05+ tail lights... where can I buy them from and is it easy to install?
Thanks.

I think nick, C24owner has them on his car and it's silver so that will probably be a good reference.

Thanks.
There are no S-Class tails for the Coupe.
But you can order 2005+ Coupe tail lights at www.MBenzNL.com
Install on the Coupe is as easy as 1,2,3

Did you just spray the clear on or wet sand the tint layer? Or wet sand the clear?
