Please tell me

I didn't screw up something, I did my front pads today on my 07 c230, and the indicator that says "brake wear" is still on.
I have already driven the car about 10 miles everything is fine, system bled but still the warning is on..
Someone help please?

Thank You!

Did you replace the pad wear sensor? You have to replace that to get rid of the warning.

As long as you are sure that the new sensors are plugged in your warning should reset the minute you remake the circuit. Benz sensors don't go to earth. You break the circuit by the sensor hitting the rotor. Are you sure you have not triggered a rear sensor as well?

I thought after 2005 they only had 1 front sensor? Mine only has 1 front.

I just replaced my pads last weekend (9/26/09) and I didn't get the error message. I did replace the sensor with an OEM from MB. Make sure that its plugged in all the way or just unplug and check for a closed loop.

BTW - I have 2007 C230ss with the big brakes and pads replaced with Friction Master (morse CMX) with 40K. Dealership mentioned that I had at least 20 percent, but I noted 30% left.
Only one sensor on the front pass side, located in the inner pad.

Thanks

By wearing out the back pads - These cars vary from 4 sensors to one on the front which seems to be an American thing. All SA cars have either 2 or 4. My car has 4.

It does only have one sensor, passenger front side.
This is an 07...
I guess I will have to take the wheel off again and check it to see if the sensor is in correctly..
Does anyone know a way to reset the onboard cpu though?

You have 1 and 1. One in front and one in rear. I think you might have a faulty sensor. You don't need to reset any "CPU".
Check the sensor again and if it's fine then get another one because it might have a defect (although that is odd). Then if you did change the sensor and you still get a problem then we can help you distinguish what the problem may be.

mine's an 02 and only has one sensor.

Did you damage the sensor when installing it, tapping it in too hard?

You can tell without taking the wheel off.. If you look at your calipers you will see 2 yellow wires. They may be a different color now but mine are yellow.. Well it really was black from the break dust LOL..

lol i think my car is different for some reason because i had a sensor go bad and i went to the dealer and they said my car should only have 3. i then told them it had 4 but the guy was an *** and would not sell me 4 because he claimed it can't have more than 3. needless to say he actually got a tech to go look at my car and found out their was 4. how many do the other 2001's have? i see 02 seems to only have two.
