Good ****
This is so sick! I only wish it was half price (about 400) then it would be our ULTIMATE solution to Mercedes complete and utter f@ckup of a bluetooth solution.

i agree with pookie...
not only it's more cost effective than OEM solution, you can always change to virtually any bluetooth phone. if u change ur fone every 1-2yrs, this is it.

Well, you're right. Stupid me, I didn't look close enough at the vendor link you posted AND almost all the search results were UK based sites leading me to the wrong assumption/conclusion.
I apologize for the needless diversion.
Great pics and congrats on your install -I'm so envious.

Out Of Control!!
Does XM have a receiver that's less intrusive? You're running into three problems, as far as I see it. One, the Jabba-sized XM receiver that you've got. Two, your equally large phone. And three, where you've mounted the concealed display makes it look more cluttered than it needs to be.
Here's what I've done:
Sirius receiver and phone cradle:
(yes, that is the blue mystic replacement trim, btw)
And I've got the concealed display mounted here - doesn't block any readings:
Obviously, you can't do anything about the size of your phone, but moving things around a little and possibly buying a less gargantuan-sized receiver should help.

Which i'm trying to avoid at all cost.
Second, u have sirius i'm not sure but seems like they make smaller receivers.
Third, i'm not getting rid of my super cool high tech phone because it looks to big...jeje, i love this phone, i swear upon this phone!

Well, by "I did...", I mean I took out my credit card when they were done and paid them.
I'm pretty sure that they did have to pop out the gauge cluster so that they could run the wiring down through the seam there. If I had my car right now, I'd be able to describe it better/take a couple of pics. But yes, the location is perfect, and the wiring isn't noticeable at all behind the unit.
Isn't the Roady pretty small? And yes, I figured that you wouldn't want to change the receiver. Sucks that it's so large. Just switch to Sirius!
As far as the rear signal, where's your V1 mounted? Mine's on the passenger visor, and I've never had any problems. What happens when you don't have the concealed display connected? Do you still get the rear antenna always on from the main unit? A new concealed display's $39, but it would be nice to know that it's the problem before replacing it, I'd say.
No, don't have the Argos. It is tempting - looks like a great product.
