no cd magazine error??
My cd player is not reading any of the cds. When i pressed the cd button, it says "no magazine". What kind of error is this? And how hard will it be for the dealer to fix it?

Should be fairly easy for the dealer to fix. Most likely he will try to reset the loop before doing anything else. If that takes care of it you'll be driving off after a brief wait.

well actually, the same thing happened to my car.....i had to bring it back like 3 times....they jus told me that they kept changing the magazines, until i complained about it when i brang it in the 4th time...they had to change the whole thing....they told me that the CD changer isnt capable with some CD-Rs....but n e way....jus wanted to help you...dont let them jus change the magazine, have them change the whole changer...aiites den, payce

When you insert the magazine into the CD player and turn on the radio (not even set to CD), you should hear the CD player cycling through the magazine checking out which slots have disks in them. Do you hear that cycling? If not, it isn't detecting that you've inserted the magazine. I checked this last night. Set the radio to "radio" (not "CD"), turn it off, and reinsert the magazine. See if you get the cycling when you turn the radio back on.

I've probably had the worse experience with the CD Changer problem. I've had the same problem as you and I had to drop my car at the dealer 6x in a span of 2 weeks.
First, they put in a supposedly "new" changer. It worked fine. The next morning, I got a NO CD CHANGER message. They put in a new HU, new fibre optics cable, cleaned all the connections, and it still didn't work. They then tried putting in another new changer. This time it worked.
I have a feeling they didn't put a new changer on their first attempt. I think it was refurbished or rebuilt.
Good luck man. Just get them to put in a "brand new" changer.

I fixed it!! I took out the cd player and turned off the car. When i turned on the car again and put it the cd magazine, everything was back to normal. If this happens again then i'll take it to the dealer. But for now, everything seems to be working ok.
