Why would you let your brakes wear to the point the car has to tell you?

Very likely 2 separate issues with the car - one of the problem is brake pads are worn and needs to be replaced and the other problem is possibly caused by one of the wheel speed spensors (also called as ABS sensors) has gone bad.

For the first problem, replace pads, you will be good to go.
For the second problem, you will need to diagnose further to identify which (out of the four) wheel speed sensor is causing the light to come on. You will need to replace that sensor to resolve the problem.

PShh... The wear sensor is BS... When mine went off i took my wheels off and still had over 20% left on them.. I went another 5k miles on them before i replaced them all.. Not smart but had to

Thats odd that your other sensors went off..

Did you drive that whole time with it on? To the OP it's probably best that you take it to a shop and get it checked out.

Few questions:
Did any other errors turn on?
Did did your car lose the ability to shift gears?
Did this problem happen after your lights turned on?
Do the errors reset after restarting?

Do you happen to have any electrical aftermarket equipment installed near your ECM? Maybe a HID kit or something? I know a ballast near the ECM can cause the same problems as "limp-mode" and even throw an additional 6 other errors.

Do the pads & while the wheels are off get them to clean the ABS sensors. Take it from there.

take the ballast off the esp box. Its damaging it. You never want to mount an HID ballast on or to close to any other microelectronic components. I don't think there is enough shielding on an hid ballast to block all the electromagnetics being created so it's damaging your esp unit.

1. Change pads.

2. Holy allgetout, man! Never mount the ballast on anything electrical on your car! The ballast gives off waves that damage the unit, put simply. ESP failure due to ballast mounting too close has happened to a few around here.. mounting it directly on the unit is asking for trouble. I would move the ballast to as far as possible from anything electrical, and I know you can mount them on the wheel wells, as I did the same. There are even some tabs that were conveniently on the wheel well that helped keep the ballasts further secured.

If the codes don't go away, I would unplug the battery and reconnect in 5 minutes. Your car will be uncalibrated when you reconnect the battery, so recalibrate your windows and sunroof, and your steering sensor will be off. So, as mentioned above, turn your wheel lock to lock several times and restart your car. Codes should be gone for the esp/abs failure, but if they still persist, you may have put damage to the unit.

Good luck!

Moving the ballast should have been what solved the problem.

good to hear. and as for your brakes, if your are getting a message on your dash, don't forget to buy a new sensor. I always run my pads until my sensor tells me it needs to be replaced. You got plenty of pad left when the sensor is hit. It gives you a fairly early warning.
