OK grip in wet weather (though a thousand times better than the old Azenis, which were damn scary when any kind of water was involved). They do wear down VERY quickly.I've currently got the Neovas on the ccoupe (well, actually, will have them on Saturday, as I switch from my snows then), and I have to say that they're really great - I highly recommend them. Better than the PS2s, which I had previously. If you do get them, make sure to store them indoors for the winter.

btw Im Michelin and BFGoodrich certified, I'm not talking outta my ****.
edit: on my E55 I had BFGoodrich KDW 2, Michelin Pilot Sport 2 and Pilot Sport A/S.
While the KDW are AWESOME tires, the PS2 is lightyears ahead!! W/ the KDW I would break traction from a dig. On the PS A/S I do too but less. W/ the PS2, I DONT!

Bridgestone> Potenza RE-01R
Falken> RT 615
So it is definitely time for some new tires. I plan on getting all 4 changed (since before I would half-**** it and just do two since to my judgement the other two would last for a bit more)
I am currently looking into the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX's and the Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3. I am wondering what do you guys think about these tires? Both of them have had great reviews on Tirerack.com.
Good Year F1 GS-D3 = $177 each
Dunlop SP Sport MAXX = $142 each
(On a side note, my mechanic can get tires off Tirerack for cheaper than what they sell and I have someone that installs/aligns/balances for 15 bucks a tire)
Can anybody drop their $.02 on these 2 tires?
I have the RE050A-Pole Position on at the moment, they are also excellent.

Godfather - you're crazy - PS2 is an older tire at this point, and it shows.
I have heard many good things aobut the Pole Position's...I think they are ranked 1 on Tirerack.
Hmmm...Potenza RE-01R is cheaper and better than PS2? I will be sure to check these out...thanks a lot for the opinions guys!
Advans....those Advan tires seem quite costly!
As far as handling goes, it's definitely an improvement over the OEM Michelins. Wet/dry handling is superb, grip stays strong through hard turns, and I've noticed improved launching from a standstill. You can still push the rear loose by inducing oversteer, though. Also, I've noticed less jerk when going over speedbumps, unavoidable potholes, etc.
The negative is probably going to be ride noise if you're using the freeways in LA/OC, but I think most enthusiasts wouldn't mind the noise too much. If you're going for the absolute best, then definitely go for a set of ADVANs. If you want something with a good tread life (I've put about 3500mi on mine with fairly spirited driving so far and tread wear is minimal) that will be good for everyday driving as well, go for the GS-D3s.
By the way, this is my first post to the forums and I hope to be around for a while. You all seem like a great bunch.

I was really aiming for tread life...and I also heard the PS2's last quite a while...agh...really hard choice...and my current stock Pilot's are running outta rubber...
My friend over at the Big O Tires just gave me some prices and I made a decision.
Michelin Pilot Sport 2 (PS2):
$215 per tire
This price includes taxes, installing them, balancing, and alignment
Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3:
$170 per tire
Same services as the PS2's stated above
So I decided to go with the GS-D3's...I will tell you guys how they feel compared to what I have now (Michelin Pilot Sport's (PS1's)).
By the way...maybe we should have a Official Tire Thread?
