oh whoops, yes ur right, my apologies...i replaced mine with the silver ones from 4mymercedes.com so they were just turn n twist for removal and installation

the formymercedes pins are about $13 each and they are aluminum. Im going to try a brand I saw at pepboys and if that fail the ones from kragen. Both in chrome.

Went to the local stealer yesterday to check out a G500 and thought I would price out the different lock pins. The parts dept quoted me at $2 each for any model. I looked at the C coupe, M, and CLK. I almost bought the CLK ones but they only had 3 in stock. So now, I'm going to call down to another stealer and see if they charge the same (or similar) so that I can go pick them up and replace them.

the ones from 4mymercedes do sit flush with the door, BUT for some reason, the ones in the back sit perfectly flush, but the ones in the front stick out just a very tiny bit (very very tiny bit)

Just asked Jerry at formymercedes. he mentioned that the aluminum pins are in back order and should be available next week. Also, he will have new pins with "AMG" logo.
By the way, i think the price for aluminum pin is 27 for set of 4, isn't it?

I didn't have chance to take pics of my Autozone chrome pins, but here is one advice for those who are interested in CLK pins. Take a look at them in person(or someone post a pic). When it's popped up(unlocked), looks very cheap(yes, cheaper than our c). Of cource IMHO, and some may like them. I'm only saying you need to make sure if the shape is what you prefer.

So, I figured we should have a thread to help the other members decide on which door pins to get...
Today, I received the pins from formymercedes... (Great service from Jerry, he even sent me a free brush!)
They're pretty nice. I think they're well worth the $31 (shipped) I spent on them. I actually looked into the Brabus pins, and was able to find a local dealer with them, and when I saw them I didn't think they were worth the $100 (plus, I had nothing Brabus on my car, so I wouldn't really feel right with em). I really like my decision, the pins match the aluminum trim quite nicely...
