2004 C180K REAR SPEAKERS NOT WORKING
Hi,
My first post here - just became a proud owner of a 2004 C180 Kompressor Avantgarde. Already fixed the driver's power seat with help from this forum. My rear speakers, not on door pads but on back board (near rear windscreen) do not work - checked fuses in trunk & hood - all fine. Where do I go from here? The owner's manual was virtually destroyed when liquid spilled in the trunk - previous owner! Any help will be appreciated...

Are you sure that you have speakers in the rear parcel shelf other than possibly a single subwoofer? Most cars don't standard.

Hi Glyn,
I'm not sure - my wife said that it used to work when I first picked up the car but it doesn't work anymore. Thought I must've messed up with the fuses as I did when I sorted out the power seat and put the parktronic fuse back in the wrong slot. I finally found the main fuse box in the cockpit today and followed the fuse map - everything seems ok. It looks like there's supposed to be 2 speakers in the back shelf but I could be mistaken. The car has alot of extras so maybe it has 2 more speakers in the back - how do I tell if it does?
Thanks for the diagrams...

Look from the boot. It's unlikely it has more than just a sub. The faux covers in the parcel shelf have nothing under them.

MBWorld Fanatic!
And if his car doesn't have the Bose system (as was still around in 04), he won't have any speakers on the rear deck at all. Just covers. That's probably what it is.

Audio 10 package included the sub. That's what I have. Don't need Bose or HK.
