I don't have the best photo editor, but I got a new 3 fin grill, and started monkeying around after seeing the 1 fin grill thread.
Did anyone ever figure out a way to mod a 3 fin to a 1 fin?
How do you think it looks?

Out of the two, the second one.

I still personally prefer the grills without the huge star.

+1, I bought one of those "star grilles" and had it on my car for a minute.. I think they just make the front end look to chaotic... Slat grilles def make the car look clean and subtle. IMO

This will give you a better idea of what you're looking at:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/413683-zgs-c55-makeover.html

It's a C55/CLK grill and it won't fit your car, but gives you an idea of the look though...

I think it looks good on a black car.

That does look good, too bad it won't fit. Looking at the one I have, I think modding it is going to be a real task.
I do like some of the other ideas people have posted, but that one fin on a black car just looks sexy.

The one fin grille on a C class just makes the car look like it hit a deer; I don't think the proportions look right at all.

The starless grille looks promising, though. I've always been a fan of those, for some reason.

Still love the stock C55 grill. Wish a copy was available for standard W203's.

Put on a flat hoodstar and it's good.

I just had to try this. Plasti-dip and paint the star grill. I think it looks better than my original edited photo, but still not sure if it's 100% what I want.
I'm thinking maybe in the future I will fill in, and smooth out the top and bottom fins so they are smooth, and might blend in with the rest of the car better.
I really need a headlight upgrade.
