I did order one extra one that I planned to use as a spare for any that got broken in shipping so if everything works out it is yours but I did plan on putting it on ebay for a little extra cash I will let you know once everyone gets one.

Yeah for all that work, I'd want to sell a couple on ebay.
The thought occurred to me, but ha, you just wiped out the primary market,
ie just about anyone with the skills to DIY the screen, learned it here on the forum.
Anyone else would be skeptical. Most people are intimidated by Benz, not work on their cars. My neighbor said one time, when I was replacing exhaust gasket, pulled the alternator to rebuild, and putting in a new supercharger,
"I didn't think you were ALLOWED to do that" ha.

Hey check this out, this guy seems to feel that just the ribbon cables fix this problem.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...item2569e8ed5a
But ribbon cables are susceptible to heat issues.

Are they here yet? Where are they? Are the on the slow boat? lol. Cool that you should have them by Friday. Now that the weather is going to start to get warmer I can't wait to get this into my dash, it drove me nuts last summer! Thanks again for doing this and not stiffing us for some new rims....

Saturday is going to be interesting. If m,y parts come in to get my car street legal i will be driving to Annapolis to pick them up in the morning. and then after that i have to go to work. That said i don't know if the parts will be in until tomorrow afternoon. Sunday and Monday are wide open for me if you will be around. But if you just want the screen let me know and we can meet up whenever.

Ok so to everyone else I will be testing the screen tonight hopefully will post pics. Once that is done I just need to start boxing them up so I can start shipping them.
And for you locals just let me know when you have some free time to meet up.

Looks good. Does it seem brighter because the old one was fading and this is why it looked like brand new? Either way, I would be happy with it being a little brighter to be able to see everything.

What time sunday would you be available ? ;-)

Hmmz.. Looks good, just like when I installed mine. Here's one thing, and this is not because of the lcds.

You see the right side of the screen, there is a black column. This black column is due to the led behind the lcd screen where it lits up the lcd or they call it the back light had failed or burned. Unfortunately, this can't be easily fix. I had investigated this issue and it has to be replace with solder work, which stop me on my tracks to continue to fix.

As for my issue, I notice it sometimes it lits up and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it has to be turned on (night time) before it lits up and other times it doesn't do anything other than leaving a black column.

Well, it's not that bad and you only notice this when it's at night.
