Well I would say 5 minutes or so if you know what you are doing.
If you don't 10 or so.
There is a good DIY around here it is not bad. Just be careful with the ribbon cable when snapping the case back together not to catch it. I use a piece of paper to push it in while I snap it closed to make sure it is out of the way.

It really is a simple process; valexv has a very good write-up. If anyone in the NYC area needs help, let me know - I've done it several times now, and have the correct tools.

If any of the early installers have a pair of polarized sunglasses, I'd love to hear whether the polarizion issue is still present. If it is, I may try to add a layer of transmissive polarizer to see if I can cure that.

Now, will be interesting to see if Trey has the issue. He said his LCD looked a different than mine, he said mine looked like the chinese one he got last year, would be interested in knowing if he has the same issue.
Otherwise, it looks great. Was warm today and did not have any problems with the display.

I put on a pair of polarized sun glasses today and it did completely block on the display, unless I tilt my head sideways.
Now, will be interesting to see if Trey has the issue. He said his LCD looked a different than mine, he said mine looked like the chinese one he got last year, would be interested in knowing if he has the same issue.

As for chinese lcd with this one. It can't be, this is different as I had made comparison a while back. The plastic connector is different to start with. As for the LCD itself is chinese or not. That I may never know. Then again, the question falls if these parts were chinese made originally. I had true belief that they are made in the european country!

Yeah it was your old screen that looked like my Chinese one not the new one. Your new one did look clearer then mine though.
Looking at the tracking it looks like east cost deliverys should happen tomorrow. as for the rest of you I figure Thursday and for the Canadian one I have no clue.

I do wish we could customize the colors on your screens and dash lights easier like many other brands. OH well I don't mine the colors as much like some one else I know on here who has a c230 and lives in Georgia not that any of you would know him lol
On another note I see many of the screens are out for delivery today so let me know once you start to receive them. oh and get us pics asap.

Trey, what does "Delivery Confirmation Insured" service mean? Does that mean that I have to sign at the time of delivery to get the damn thing? My status is "out for delivery" as of 8:19 this morning, but I'm wondering if I'll have an annoying slip at home, which will require me to drive to the post office at lunchtime tomorrow to sign for the package (especially since the status is not "delivered", and my mail gets delivered at around 12:30pm).

Got it today trey. Thanks for doing this. Also, to fix the polarization issue insert a half wave retarder film in front of the lcd. I'm not sure if i'm allowed to put a link to some film so PM me if you want the link.
