Breaking news my dealer did not rip me off!!

So I took my car in for a $100 oil change a few months ago and instead of using mobile 1 0w-40 like I usually do they used Pennzoil 5w40 European Formula. I later found out that this oil is impossible to find and expensive. I found it at one place online http://oilstore.stores.yahoo.net/pesy5weufoca.html for almost $8 a quart. My car uses a little bit and on road trips or something if I need to add a quart that could be an issue if all the dealers are Mobil one dealers. My dealer has 0w-40 for amg’s and uses Pennzoil for everything else. Well they sold me 3 quarts of Pennzoil for only $5.25 that is cheaper than I can even get Mobil one for on sale usually I could not believe it a trip to the dealer and it was way less than expected now that must be a record. I should have asked how much the 0w-40 would be but that is for another day. So since I know no one will believe me here are a few pictures.

Actually it isn't hard to find. If you live in NorCal I can give you as much as you want for free. Personally I think MobilOne is better. If you want to buy this European formula Pennzoil they sell it at Jiffy Lube, though the 5.25 is a steal. Don't know what we charge customers for it, but it is definitely more than that.

interesting because I called every parts store in my area as well as looked on the internet and could only find the diesel oil. I usually use the Mobil One but didn't have the time to change the oil myself last time so the dealer did it. I never thought to talk to jiffy lube.

Yeah, Jiffy Lube has it because JL is a subsidiary of Shell, and Pennzoil is Shell's oil.

I feel like smythe European in San Jose over price there stuff way to much. When I was car shopping all the cars in there used lot were 2-3k more then when a comparable vehicle was at Pleasanton MB. There services seem to be cheeper then Pleasanton MB though, and nicer people too

I like to save money when I can but will only use approved stuff for my car. That said the dealer is the last place I would have ever figured to have cheap oil. Now the funny part is that the oil cost $2 more a quart when they put it in for you lol
