The C-Class facelift will be presented at the Detroit Auto Show next January.
Changes include a higher quality interior and different looking dashboard, sportier suspension, different looking lights and bumpers that resemble those of the new CLK, and a new C55 AMG with 367 hp (engine from new CLK55) to replace the C32.

If I remember correctly, I read in the automobile magazine that is pubblished in england that future AMG models will not have a supercharger but will carry a bigger displacement. People wants a bigger displacement V8 more than a supercharged V6 though a SC is the obvious way if you want tourque straight out (paraphrasing automobile). It's kinda sad seeing the good ol kompressor go away. Anywhow, those bigger displacements are only going to carry 10 HP or less more than the SCd versions or so I remember.

I wish I could find an article somewhere but still have no luck. I still prefer a SCd small displacement engine over a large diplacement one since it's cooler and cheaper. But for those guys who buys AMGs, I think they want the real deal.
