the greeen thing u see above the cps is just a piece of sponge I used to stop antifreeze from leaking after i removed a hose.
be carefull with the hoses not to brake anything as you remove the big intake hose.

NOW he tells me...

Oh, and for those who didn't realize, you can press the button on your hood struts to release it and allow the hood to be raised to a vertical position. This will give you much more room to work.

Yes - the vertical hood makes a big difference

the answer is here.

It is held on by a small bolt and you'll need a 1/4" ratchet with a 14" long extension to reach it. I cant recall what size socket you'll need but I think it's about 8mm.

It's easiest to reach in behind the cylinder head and unclip the wiring lead. (There's no room for your hand AND the tool so you'll get angry and cuss out that car a few times before you're done)

Remove the screw and the CPS pulls straight up.

The new CPS goes in and you have to line it up by feel.

I put some paper over the screw into the socket to hold it snug. (...After I dropped the screw a couple of times and had to take off the splash shield and jack up the car to get under there and retrieve the screw)

When you're done, clip the wiring connector back on and you're done. All in all it took me less than 1 h

The 8mm was only a faint recollection. It could just as well have been 7mm....

its cool..i pick up some power steering fluid. long as the bolt fits, dont be afraid to put a little muscle into it. you can try using some wd-40 to loosen it up. If you know someone with a breaker bar, it'll be a lot easier since you can put more torque onto the bolt.
