transmission problem c230
Hello.. i have a 2005 c230 with only 66, 000 miles.. but i have problems in transmission.. (automatic).. runs good but gear #3 has a vibration.. only gear #3.. please help.. thanks

Is your whole car shaking while in 3rd gear? Does it only happen under accelleration? Under load?

What speed are you at in 3rd gear? Try to go same speed you notice it at in a higher/lower gear and see if you can recreate it. You may just notice it in 3rd gear because of the speed you are traveling.

Bump. I have same issue, possibly 2nd gear too in my automatic. When I hit the acceleration hard enough it smooths it out. From reading about vibrations, it seems like 2 engine mounts and transmission mount could need replacing, but these people seem to be vibrating in reverse or at a stop light. Neither of which causes vibrations in my car, only in 2nd/3rd gear when going soft on the accelaration. Anyone confirm or deny 3 motor mount theory?

Center propshaft bearing
Propshaft flex discs for cracks
Propshaft UJ's
Grease propshaft spline
If the vibration is truly caused by 3rd speed in the transmission only, you are in for a failure & soon. I doubt it is the transmission. When last did it have a fluid & filter change.
