Transmission leak? Advice please.

Hello All,

Last week I changed my oil and noticed this dampness on the transmission. Anything serious to worry about? Advice please.

Thanks!

Seems you have a leak in the oil pan gasket, you will have a serious problem if you leave it more..!!

ZAYED,,
It's coming from above, defiantly not the oil pan gasket. In the first photo you can see a black hose or wire above the pan on the side of the transmission which seems to be the origin of the leak.

It's a 2005 C220 CDI Coupe. With the 5G transmission.

I've searched the TCU wicking problem but this looks differnt to the wire harness plug photos in those threads? Is this the same?

Ah sorry, first photo confused me,,

if leak comes from above could be,

the black tube o-ring or the red plug above not set properly..!

Not sure about the CDI, but it looks like it could be coming from the rear main seal oil leak that's common on a lot of W203s. What's your oil consumption like?

I have not changed the TCU plug seals yet. Having made this research I'm paranoid about finding ATF fluid in the footwell!

I've has this car since new in it's first two months I had the classic drained transmission due to a misplaced seal during assembly problem.
