LOL that is hella funny, why would I pretend to be someone else just so I can get flamed? I posted the link because I knew it would stir up some controversy, I think you guys call it being a "Troll"

Anyways, I don't see why you guys are getting so pissed, Its an honest review. And yes I really have driven all the higher end AMG Benz out there, I'm a valet parker so occasionally I take the cars around the block to test them out. And even after driving them all, I still think the C230 K Sedan is the best Mercades out there. If I was going to spend $55,000, I'd get a C230 and a real sports car, like a used Supra, RX7, or a new WRX even, instead of a piece of crap C32 AMG.

Caffeinetrip, have you ever sat in a SL55? Probably not. Just valet driving a car isn't anything.

Japanese cars can't touch German engineering for full throttle speeds... silently.

caffeinetrip,

Why pay $36K for a C230 when I got my fully loaded 2004.5 C320 for $38K with auto tranny (but without full leather; just mbtex)? I could have gotten it for $36K+ with manual 6.

Oh really? What do you say to this?

Straight from your site.

................

...I got to drive a Supercharged C230 Kompresser around the track to see what it could do...which wasn't much...."And what it couldn't do...which got me kicked out of the event.

Turns out it can't do much, this "sport sedan" handles like a minivan, is slow as ****, and has ford escort like brakes. I took the last turn wayyy too hard for being in a Mercades and ended up hitting the a sign and running over some cones. Funny thing is...I've taken turns way faster and harder in the Lexus RX330 SUV and even a freaking Toyota RAV4 which took them just fine. By the way, I've driven the 2003 $100,000 SL500 in the past, and it handles pretty much the same...go Mercades!"

..............

Looks like you really liked the car ehh?

SL500 is 80k, you're about 20k off.

And saying it's the same as a w203 proves you have no idea what you are doing, do you have the faintest idea what ABC is?

Thanks Noble C320 for bringing more onto this thread. This caffiene guy is hilarious.

Also want to add that MB makes cars for the mature individuals who like luxury, class, and who want "some" sportiness. If you cant appreciate there cars for what they are then look else where and dont be a poser.

As for saying the c230 is better then an E55 AMG, SL500, and my favorite the CL55 AMG. Damn son, better start laying off the E you have been taking. because you are getting delusional

The sophistaction and engineering in those aformentioned cars are far beyond any C class. I love my car, but this is not even a comparison.

I don't think the C320 Sedan comes in Manual, and if you're refering to the coupes, I think they're ugly and impracticle. And the C320 Sedan is $8,000 more than the C230K Sedan, options are the same price for both, so getting $6,000 worth of options in the $36,000 C230 would be the same as getting a $44,000 C320 Sedan. And I wouldn't actually pay $36,000 for a C230, Id probely delete some of the options, and talk it down a few thousand.

And to the other guy, I never said I drove a SL55, I've driven like 10 SL500's, 2 E55's, 1 CLK55, and 1 CL55, not to mention 20 S500's, a bucnh of CLK500s, and blah blah blah...but it doesn't' count unless I've actually driven it hard, which I have in the E55 and the CL55, and the SL500. Yes I've driven the SL500 for than 5 miles at full throttle with turns.

Oops I didn't see Noble's post. But hhahahahhahaa you found my old entry! I was curious to see if anyone would bring that up. Yah I got kicked out of the last C-Spot for driving the C230 wayyyyyy too hard and hitting the 5mile an out sign. lol.

I think thats why I never liked the C-Class before, but after finding out they made it in stick, I decided to give it another shot, and this time I went in not assuming its a sports car, cuz its defintly not. I still don't think any Mercedes Benz handles well, especially on track, which I took my current 97' Toyota Celica Manual to earlier this month (Streets of Willow) and it did great.

the c230k is probably the best bang for your buck but not the best mercedes period. c32 is a nice car, but i would agree with you on how to spend the $55k tho... i would get a c230k and buy back my old rx-7.

Sorry about that then. Which E55's? W211 or W210? I think only the 211 has ABC. The CLK55's don't have it. The CL might, 500's are Airmatic, CLK500's are woman cars

You can't drive a SL500 hard, it's not a fast car. Doesn't matter what you do, it doens't change the fact that it's a pure crusier and nothing else. Try a SL55 out and then compare it to your other cars You'll find it's a nice surprise being able to accelerate to your engine limiter, or take that of, and your second engine limiter. It's nice knowing that the car is so fast that they have instated two speed governors.

It's an honest review, and we are expressing our honest opinions. We have every right to get pissed or whatever, that's what we are, humans.

No way best bang for you're buck. Mercedes and "bang for buck" or anything like that shouldn't be used in the same sentence. I'm sorry but in the $35k price range there are just so many cars that out preform quite likely all the MB's in that segment.

best bang for your buck "mercedes"... not best bang for your buck in the $35k price range... tho the c230k IS a pretty good buy overall.

I think its pretty funny how the senior members are getting superrrr pissed at me, while the people that dont' spend 10hours on the forums everyday see that I made some valid points in my review, and that it was just a personal review. By the way, the E55 I drove was the new one, an 04.

You have the right to be mad, I would be too if someone was chopping down my idealist tree. I like to think of it as a reliaty check though. While there are some SUPER fast Mercedes out there, numbers don't lie....I just don't think any Mercedes is a sports car, especially not the SL's, although if they were, they would made AWESOME looking ones. The next time I get the chance I'll take a SL55 around the block and see how it feels, but I'm already pretty sure that it'll just take off like the E55 and CL55 I drove, chirp though the first three gears (which is actually kinda cool) and then I'lll have to slam on the brakes praying not to lose control, and then slowly ease into the turn because I doubht any Benz out there handles very well.

And by the way, I'm sure all of you would consider Porsche's true sports cars....now would any of you buy a 911 Turbo if it only came in automatic? And what if it handled just like the Cayene, I wouldn't even consider it a sports car if it did.

Now I get a better understanding why so many members on here don't like it when valets park their cars.

Maybe this whole thread be retitled:
