How much have you paid for an 05 C230 Sedan?

MSRP is $34,510, and dealer quoted $1K off. When I mentioned the C-spot coupon (which I don't have, but am looking for one - see my other post), the dealer wasn't that familiar with it and said he would have to check on it and get back to me. Since I didn't want to leave my pregnant wife home alone for a long time, I asked the dealer to call me at home on the c-spot coupon.

The dealer called me back, and said that the c-spot coupon could be used on the 05 C230, which would give me $2,500.00 off MSRP.

I think that $1K off MSRP is too low, but I did a search and couldn't find any info on what people are paying, so I am posting this message.

Any info you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

Find out the invoice price, go to edmunds.com. $500 over invoice is generally a good buy. There is some that got invoice or way below that. Good luck with the haggling. I paid 1000 over invoice for my 2003. Which is the eqivalent of 1500 off msrp.

A lot will depend on your location. Also remember that the MY05 has just been introduced. You can't expect the same kind of discount now that the car will have several month down the road. Good Luck.

I have worked a few deals using the C-Spot coupon and it has to be shown on your contract as part of your down payment. For example, if you are putting $5k down, using the coupon will turn that into $6500. Also, be aware that you must be financing or leasing through Mercedes-Benz Credit for the dealer to get reimburst for the money. If you need some help, feel free to PM me! As far as pricing goes, it has a lot to do with your location and timing on your purchase!

Turbo2 was able to negotiate $4000 off MSRP which I assume was $2500 plus C spot coupon. That's the best we've seen on this forum so far on an 05. $6000 - $7000 off MSRP is fairly common on 04's now that the 05's are out (including C spot of course).

Dr. Chill-

You beat me to it! For reference though, no C-Spot coupon was used, just imagine the damage I could of done with that! My '05 C230 Sedan had an MSRP of $35,930 and I picked it up for $31,965 + Taxes.

Good luck and be persistent.

How did you...

Hey Turbo,

How did you get such a great price on the 2005? I'm trying like heck to get my dealer to lower the price, but he won't go any lower than $2,800 below MSRP. Any advice/tips you'd like to share would be greatly appreciated.
