Bi-X: W203/CL203 OEM Bi-XENON Upgrade, Auto-Levelling & Programming thread
Right now, with bulbs that came with the bi-xenon's from steve is really white and has a tint of purple. Is that a very high temp bulb already. I just realised it when my eyes come in contact to the beam where there is a disperment of color (like a rainbow) thats when i could see it as purple.

THX........
The settings have to be changed by the dealership )I only have WIS and EPC...not the stardiagnose/DAS).
The older Xenon bulbs were bleu-ish/purple colored but due to people complaining about these colors, the xenon bulbs have been changed and are more white-ish colored nowadays. All 203 lights I sold came with the same D2S bulbs from factory and all have the same color light...
My own SL has one blown Xenon bulb and I will have to search myself an oldstyle D2S bulb to get the same color back...or replace both bulbs for the white-ish ones, but that is no option
.greetingz,
Thx for the input. I guess you were right. I managed to see the puple blue white tint when I squatted in front my car from a distance and was able to get that hue.
Anyways, do you have the clear fogs?? How much is it?
Where do you get this type of bulb? Will it require custom modification to the inside of the light fixture or is it just a straight swap?
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that Xenon bulbs require about 50+ hours to break in. Before that, they will look a bit yellowish rather than pure white, although still much higher in colour temperature than regular halogen bulbs of course.

Dave - I thought with the screen printouts this takes 5 mins !!!!!!!!

Anyone know where steve went? I been trying to contect him for 6 days now...
greetingz,
I am still here, I just don't have enough time to reply all my mails. I will take 2 days off these weeks to crawl through my mailbox...sorry for the delay.
greetingz,
Thanks again for the Euro Comand install.
Is it possible to just get the Bi-Xenon housing for the sedan without having to get the ballast and bulbs? If it is possible, will that significantly lower the price?
Thanks,
John
