Bi-X: W203/CL203 OEM Bi-XENON Upgrade, Auto-Levelling & Programming thread
If you havent read up, you have to replace the entire unit if you want the bixenon look. The old xenon housings cannot be swapped out for the new bixenon types
I may be wrong here, but I believe the bixenons are projector types, and thus do not need the lens/glass to focus, hence a clear headlamp.
And another thing, they're supposed to be fixed.. not to be opened up and tinkered with, just swap the entire thing out.

Im thinking either spend 400 bucks to get HID or if so save up the money to get the Bi Xenon head lamp ...
Which one ya perfer? anyone know anyone selling the Bi Xenon Head Lamp Cheap? it costed 750 with teh car but benz selling for 1200 each =(
You'll get better lighting and looks with bi-xenons. Give Steve an email and he'll be able to get you a set at a much lower price compared to dealers. And oh ... get clear foglights too if your getting the bi-xenons from Steve
.. just my 2 cents
btw.... I'm selling my clear foglights if Steve don't have em
I got a letter from fedex recently asking for $19.58 or something like that for processing my customs on the lights. Did anyone else get that?
I thought this was all part of the shipping we paid for right?
i got a bill from fed ex too... i asked steve and he said fed ex sometimes charges extra for duties and tariffs for the international shipments, good thing the declared value on the lights were marked as $500! =) i assumed everyone else got billed so i went ahead and sent a check for i believe around $16 USD. hope this clears it up.
1. Duties, taxes, customs
2. Brokerage ancillary services
It depends if you are lucky or not. I only got charged once for all the international shipments that I have gotten. But the one time that I did get charged was for the "BIG ONE", Steve's crate of 15 Comands, 12 GPS antennas, 2 CD changers, and all related wires and contact pins.
Good thing the declared value was only $1000... If customs only knew....Dave
But the one time that I did get charged was for the "BIG ONE"
...Sometimes Customs does charge the receiver, sometimes custom does not and every single shipment gets charged differently (if it gets charged)...weird system you have there in the US!
greetingz,
I just installed my bi-xenon, but when I tried to turn on the lights, I heard some weird sounds like cracking and the headlights won't turn on, the street lights are working and the hi beam are working too, and 2 minutes later, there were two errors msg in my screen, it says "low beam L/R check" or something like that.
does any1 ever experience this kinda problem ??
please HELP ME OUT !!!
ps. my car was originaly with the OEM Xenon, so I dont need to change the xenon present setting rite ?
thanks
how easy can I disassemble my 'halogen headlights' and replace them with bi-xenon lights?
what do I need other than a pair of the bi-xenon headlights to make them fully operational?
how about the auto-levelling mechanism? I do not have washer jet either, is that ok?
thanks for any input
finally, does anyone know who can help me installing them in Atlanta area? thanks
.You don't need anything else apart from your pair of bi-xenons and some tools to partly remove the bumper, installation roughly took about 2 hours. Its not that hard I think. Somebody from this forum posted the instructions how to install bi-xenon. Do some search.
Forget about auto levelling, if you don't have xenon to start with then auto levelling would be too hassle to install. You can adjust the bi-xenons like any other headlights.
