Bi-xenons installed.....high beam is yellowish

I got the bixenons from steve and the other day I noticed the high beams look rather yellow and not the same white light the lows project. Is this normal?

not sure what you mean, the high beam uses the same projector as the low beam for bixenon.

put it on high beam instead of using the hibeam when you flash someone. The flash hi beam is still the halogen.

High beam on bi xenon headlights is a combination of the lowbeam xenon projectors with enlarged opening and HALOGEN high beam bulbs in the inner circle of the headlight...that HALOGEN high beam bulb is yellowish compared to the xenon projector

yeah but remember you still have a halogen high beam, even though you have a xenon high beam as well. on a dark road, you can't tell, its just a bunch of light!

if you have Bi-Xenon yes it is xenon. the name implies that. put a car with bi-xenon next to one with halgoen high beams and youll see a difference.

Bi-Xenons as explained are both high and low beam. Actually the bulb does not get any brighter a reflector is just moved to allow more light out. But they also have a halogen High Beam as well, it is in the City Light part of the assembly. So in order to have a nice total Xenon Look you need to also replace the city light bulb and halogen high beam bulb with whiter ones. That will give you the clean white look. Also the fog light bulb to whiter if you want everything to flow nicely. Unfortunately even the factory Bi-Xenons have normal yellow looking type bulbs everywhere. They use this extra halogen for the high beam to blend the light nicely instead of the harsh cut-off of light and darkness like the low beam has.

my fogs are yellow, because that makes them worth a damn in foggy weather and my city lights are a little whiter. either way xenon is xenon.

also they use the halogen highbeam because it lights faster than the xenon does. if you were to flash your brights at a car while your headlights are off. the halogen high beam would light (turn on) faster than the xenon highbeam would if it had to turn on after being turned off. its a safety issue really. when the relfector goes up to allow more light to shine out, there really isnt the cut off like there is when the reflectors are in the way with just the low beam. so i havent seen this blending of the light to me. when i drive down a dark road, the light looks white like xenon and it goes up into the tress.

ahh, that makes a lot of sense. So the high beam is actually a halogen bulb, but in addition the low beam is "adjusted" to produce a different pattern?

Just change the H7 high beam halogen to a whiter one and you'll be set. If you want to make the entire package look clear but still have the turn signals blink yellow when they're on, take a look at my thread on this at :
