The GLK Universal Media Interface (UMI)
You guys check this out? Droooooool. I have a Zune and want to use that over the Ipod. Anyone heard rumors about when this might be avail for the W204?

According to mercedes benz germany, it only works with the audio 20 system and not the Multi media package most of us have. I will how ever go to the dealer perhaps tomorrow and enquire about it. if it does in fact work with the MM system i'll order/buy one and test it out. from the discription it looks pretty cool though

I havent put together a price yet on it.. the cost for the parts was like $850 and then there was some cabling that I had to build to make it plug-and-play. FInally the vehicle had to be reprogrammed. I would think the whole thing could be put together for maybe $1000... somewhere in that area.

I just went to the dealership, Smythe European in San Jose, and they quoted me for ~$1997 for the part and labor.. A little too expensive for my taste, but I'm really digging this UMI! Also, I thought it would come with 20GB HD or something like I believe the MM package does, but according to the guy, this UMI doesn't. He said full iPod operation from the central controller tho! =)
