C350 with C63 Front Bumper
I don't dream of owning a M-B............I could buy one if I wanted. I don't need a peace sign on my car to make me feel special. I work on highend and exotic cars everyday. I LOVE my little Crossfire because it has a REAL AMG engine(377rwhp......dyno proven) and distinctive looks/style. I don't lose my car in a parking lot or have people getting confused whether it's a C,E or S class(they all look the same to "average" folk). Ohh; and I love it when guys like you try to show your "superiority" by pointing out that I drive a lowly Crossfire and you have an almighty Mercedes..............if only you knew. LMFAO
As far as the OP liking an AMG bumper that's just fine by me. I just can't stand it when people buy base model cars(of any Make) and try to pass them off as top-of-the-line performance cars and putting; in this case, "6.3AMG" emblems on it. I had a 221 S-Class in the shop a couple months ago that had a Lorinser body kit, aftermarket wheels and on the trunklid it said "S65 AMG". I then looked under the hood only to fine out it was a S550 and that guy too was a poser.

do what you want to do man, all we can offer are opinions, but dont you think you shouldve just bought the 63 for a lot less than 20 grand more? i mean the 350 is already running around 40? the 63 is 55,000. after all these mods, i think it might be more expensive with less power..
but congratulations on your mods if this is the route you really want.

No not all..............just ones like that guy. I have several friends that have M-Bs. It's just funny that some think that the Crossfire is a lesser car just because it doesn't have the star on the hood. It's the exact same car as a SLK32 sans star but with a better looking exterior, nicer interior and same exact powertrain.

Thanks.
I've done a few mods to it...........the car is a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 and everything under the skin is SLK32. They made 2016 coupe and 985 convertible SRT-6's which is why most people know nothing about them and assume they are just another slow POS mopar. My first night to the track with it at LVMS with a 3700DA I ran a 12.85 @ 109 on all season street tires with my only mod being SL55 complete intake. It makes me happy every time I bring it out to the track and the first guy that lines up against me is usually laughing and thinks he/she has an easy victory.

Uh, I didn't buy my car to feel special. I bought it because I like it. I had a an Audi with 350 fwhp and other high hp cars (built, not bought). Yippee.
I don't assume a Crossfire is a slow POS. I actually to like them. They're a bit tired though. If you love your car because it's almost a Mercedes or whatever; good for you. A lot of us could have purchased an AMG or M but chose to wait. We all have our reasons for doing things, but when you attack someone for doing something to their car that you don't agree with, you appear to be rude and you are contributing nothing. Yet you still blab on and on about it. We all know the badge is "sacred" and reserved for those who are only impressive because of what they drive; otherwise they wouldn't worry about it so much. You probably do things outside of the car world that would have you classified as a poser as well, although you'll likely deny it.
I think it's funny how the word poser (as juvenile as it is) has been resurrected in car forums. I remember when it was originally used among punk-rockers and metalheads, putting down those who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. You know, like wearing a Motorhead t-shirt and secretly listening to pop music (anything that is played on the radio).
Anyway, I'm done with this thread. OP, good job on tackling that bumper project.

See this is the beauty of an open forum...........you can say what you like whether you love or hate the mods others have done. I dislike posers, you like to praise and defend them which is fine.
Ohh; I have a set of 6.3AMG emblems lying around if you'd like them for your C350 as well. I'll cut you a good deal.

I don’t know the answer to this, but does BMW have the same issue with the 328 guy trying to make his car look like a M3, the 525 driver doing mods to look like a M5?

Troll is sufficient to describe you.
As per wikipedia
"An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]"
See that man with a bat? He's beating a dead troll. Aren't you banned yet? (Again!)

Ah, so you were registered last week, stirring up crap in the W203 forum under the other username I mentioned.

Your contribution to quite a few threads that I have seen usually has some reference to trolls in it. One can deduct from that observation is that you have little to say on a subject that adds any value but feel that you must be part of the discussion. How do you participate? You call people trolls, but you are quite creative as you often add a picture or Smilie character to dress up your post, nicely done. On this post you actually have a guy beating a dead horse, but you cleverly state it is a……wait for it…….TROLL!! Good for you!! You have successfully contributed to a thread and won the admiration of your fellow man.
You may not agree with my stance or posts, but at least I can make an argument on a subject, your best effort is coming up with a new picture of a troll.
I can not wait for your well thought out response, I am sure it will have something to do with……wait for it……..TROLLs.
Does it make sense to try to copy a front end from a C63 to a C300/350 when the C63 is an inch wider then the other W204s? It is not a simple bolt-on replacement it is pretty involved. As others have said, why spend so much money and time on mods when you can get the real deal? I have heard of used C63s already below 55K; with the dollar amount that some are spending on mods they could have waited a year and gotten to real deal and not have to worry about looking like posers.
So to answer your question. Its call a HOBBY. Kinda like what you are doing hanging around this board instead of the C63 and bashing anyone trying to endulge in their expensive but challenging hobby.
BTW, you found any good info hanging around here? I sure hope you are not wasting all your time just trying to bash us for our mods. Hopefully some of the mods catches your attention. Why don't you post a pic of your C63? Would be nice to see what I missed out on. A true C63.....

I can post a picture but it will look just like all the other C63s out there. Black/Black with 35% tint all around, no mods from the OEM package. I hope to get a performance tune next spring to unlock the performance that they held back; most of the ECU tunes are getting another 50+ HP with no bolt-ons. MHP does a ECU/TCU tune that is suppose to not only unlock the engine, but also modify the transmission to get rid of 80% of the adaptive memory issues that cause many to seek a Sprintbooster solution.
