Please help, out door car cover and storage recommendations?
Hey everybody I am gonna leave to Iraq again here about 2 months and will be storing my C class outdoors under a carport for at least six months and am in need of some out door car cover recommendations. Any and all help would be appreciated in regards to cover recommendations and preparations for storage.

What you really should do is rent a car storage spot. I know places like Public Storage rent car storage spot for $1 first month, and $94 per month after. I think U-haul does so also. Look around. I'd recommend that just for peace of mind way more than leaving it outside for 2 months.

The car will be stored under a super strong car port that is all welded together and bolted to a concrete slab at my parents house in the back of the property, so my main concern is to protect from the elements. So I am mainly really looking for a quality car cover.

if security isn't an issue, then just total element protection, try Empire Cover

I like the Empire Grey Max Car Cover, seems to be right on the money however the Benz oem is NOAH fabric and BMW uses NOAH also but it's about $100 more. Hmmmmm I really don't know.

Moth ***** in old soxs hung around the car to keep rodents away. Some in the engine compartment some from the suspension interior .... you get the idea. A breathable cover.

If you are going to be gone for six months, I would ask one of your parents to drive your car once or twice a month for 20-30 miles (enough to get everything warmed up, charged up, etc) and not worry about a car cover. As long as the carport keeps it out of direct sun, your paint will do fine with the dust, etc that will blow in. Really, wet blown leaves and bird crap will be the only thing that could give you a problem unless you can "trust" your parents to give it a "proper" wash a couple times while you are gone. Either way, don't forget about gas stabilizer.

They have some decent ones from empire. their website has a computer generation tool so you can see what the cover looks like on and off the car pretty cool.

Better leave the car under that structure uncovered.
All covers are building condensation moisture due to day/night temperature change and moisture will rust your car.
(MB's are not galvanized like AUDI's)

Have a NOAH car cover for a MX-5 at home that we use during the winter. Works really well and has holes for a lock and cable. Another tip I heard about is to stuff some steel wool in your muffler tips to prevent any rodents from making a nest in your exhaust.
