Reverse Logic W204 Jack Pad Tool Review
So I wanted to swap 18" wheels tires onto my new 2010 C300 and I noticed that the OEM jack points were only designed to work with the stock jack.
I didn't want to use a standard hydraulic jack (with round lift point) on the factory jack points because I was worried that I would mangle the factory jack points due to their uncommon design (see pic below).
I searched on here and came across a place (http://www.reverselogic.us/ReverseLo.../Products.html) that made a jack pad tool (out of aluminum) that works with the W204 chassis factory jack point and allows you to use a standard hydraulic jack. It also has spring loaded pins on each side which allows it to sit inside the factory jack point without needing to be held by anything
I started out on the left rear and popped it into place, the fit was perfect. Once I was done with one wheel, I just pulled it out and popped it into the next jack point. One thing I would recommend is using a thin piece of rubber in between the jack pad tool and jack so the jack doesn't slip:
The tool costs $35 shipped and is very well made so it should last a long time. It made the job so easy and I didn't damage anything on the car while using the tool.
A big goes out to Fred at Reverse Logic for making such a nice jack pad tool for our cars.

Did you get the lug bolt guide tool? that is a "must have" for our cars if you do a lot of wheel work. I don't know why they are not included.

Honestly, I prefer the ECS Tuning ones.

Having the hole allows me to put a screw driver or some other tool through to help me get some torque on it in case it gets too tight or jammed.

VWs use bolts just like Mercedes and I worked on VWs for 12+ years without needing a lug bolt guide tool.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Fred, the guy who makes the jack pad tool, is a great guy. That tool is a must-have.
FYI, you can get H&R coilovers for W204s from ECS. I wish they would expand to MB. They do amazing things with VW/ Audi products.

No, I didn't get a lug bolt guide tool. Didn't really feel like I needed it since the OEM wheels are hubcentric (and you can get hubcentric rings for most aftermarket wheels) so it's not too difficult for me to reinstall a wheel/tire.

Definitely agree w/ you Derspeed regarding ECS and do hope they expand to MB. However, it's all about interest/demand. Mercedes modding just can't compare numbers-wise w/ VW/Audi. Entry price-point along with no hot-hatches...
