I had the audio 20 and upgraded to the Comand. I did not think it was hard. for the most part its plug and play. That’s a bit expensive it cost me 1100 shipped from Romania (I hope it was not stolen) for the unit, screen, GPS antenna, dash vent, and 2 wires. When I get home I will post the parts and part numbers. It looks like ebay has the best deals. And I did run into one problem it was a euro navi so I tried uploading us maps and it did not work so the guy gave me a cd and it did something thin the maps worked.

Honestly 110% worth it!!! I love having Navi and the sd card slot. Yes it plays DVD’s but I would get VIM(video In Motion) form midcity engineering. I have never tried saving a song so I don’t know on that.

I did it myself with no major problems. If you don’t have the time to do it or you dont think you can take on the task you should would go with them.

That's half the system since the original cheap speakers are not changed.

Good luck! You should also add Infinty kappa door speakers that would finish the system.
I am useing kappa door speakers, jl jx360 amp, and jbl ms-8. And going to add a small sub.

"Door cards..." do you mean the crossovers? The stock speakers only have a non-polarized cap on the back of the tweeters, and the Infinity Kappas come with truly audiophile-grade crossovers.

You should refer to this thread:

Door panel, yes you do have to remove it, but it isnt such a big deal. Some DIY threads explain how. You will also have to remove the mesh triangle in the door frame and enlarge the tweeter hole slightly with a Dremel tool. Well worth it, according to everyone's enthusiasm with this speaker upgrade.

My local MB dealer actually did the installation, since the W204 was in for an A service.

thanks alot for that, well tomorrow i am getting this new sat nav installed and will take it from there, but changing the tweeters sounds very simpile might get the hk ones from dealers and do these my self.

i was wondering when i get this new sat nav system installed does that make any diffrecne to the sound system? or is it going to sound exactly same as the audi 20

Even if this SatNav install had double the amplifier power, the "sound" is always produced by the loudspeakers. You will still have the same crappy sound from the stock speakers even if you installed a 1000 watt per channel amp, unfortunately.

hi guys got my command fitted in and must say very impressed with this upgrade, got a question for you guys though, you know how from audio 20 we could go into enginering mode and then go into each individual speaker sound settings, i cant seem to do that with this command, i can go in to the enginering mode but just can't seem to find that particular sound setting and also the bit where we could adjust the highest and lowest volume setting, any ideas? or does this simply not come with those settings, any help is much apriciated. i will when i get the chance speak to the chap that did this install and ask him but thought see what you guys think to this. thanks alot
