Exploding / Shattered Sunroof (TriStar Mercedes, St Louis MO)
Anyone experience this with their new car, already have a feeling dealership is gonna give me the run around. Service guys were dumb founded and service manager acted uninterested or sympathetic (TriStar Mercedes, Ellisville MO) to what happened, ended up cutting up my arm, luckily don't have a face full of glass.
Service manager even had the ***** to accuse me of "flying down the highway". Worst customer service ever, already contacted MB USA (waiting to hear back from them).
Anyway...guys have any suggestions on how to handle this. Already left bad reviews on the dealership on FB, YouTube, Twitter, Yelp, and BBB. Hopefully that will get their attention.

Only thing I can think of is that it was cracked from the get go and i never noticed when picking up the car from the dealership or defective glass from the factory. No idea!

1) Something hit it. (Rare)
2) Something flexed (Also rare)
3) Tempered glass edge had a flaw (Most Likely)
Call your insurance and let them argue with the dealer.
I would keep fighting them until they agree on something. It was a dangerous situation you was in when the glass broke. Good luck!

Can you imagine the heat inside the car without that tinted pano roof?

I'm talking about aftermarket tint applied to the sunroof, I realize there is a slight tint from the factory which doesn't poses a problem since it not designed to block out a lot of heat. Aftermarket tint reflects/absorbs heats straight into the glass, I have tinted many of my own vehicles including the sunroof and the sunroof acts very differently than all other windows.
