Front left malfunction - but OBD doesnt show any errors
I have a C200 CGI 2011.
I needed to change the buttons on the steering wheel, so I took it off. While the steering wheel was off, I connected the battery back (by mistake).
So now I have a "front left malfunction consult workshop" error displaying, I have 2 OBD devices and none of them show any error codes.
I tried to clear errors but it still presists.
Any advice?
Thanks!

I would have guessed connecting the battery back while the steering wheel is off would cause an air bag fault. Are any warnings on the dash on, abs?
What obd tool are you using, a Mercedes specific one?
Maybe post a photo of what it shows.
The dashboard says "Front left malfunction consult workshop," and the airbag light (red) is on.
You are probably right about inadequate scanner, I have ordered another one and tomorrow morning I will walk to a garage near here and ask if they can reset the light.
The thing is, I have imported the car to Europe and it's waiting for tomorrow to pass the car inspection so I have to fix the light by noon tomorrow (waited for the inspection for 2 months).

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
no way you see them with aftermarket.
I can fix this easy with proper diagnostics
but try something. put your car back together. then battery off 30 min
and back. eventually after drive it a mile lock the car keys away and see if fixed
good luck
