The proper answer here is that the C450 is the sportiest non AMG sedan MB sells. The current E class, CLS, or S class are NOT considered sporty in any way. Actually I'd go as far to say with the C63 suspension the 450 is probably the best handling non AMG sedan MB sells. Even the E550 stock wouldn't be considered a corner carver, but it can haul a$$ with that V8.
the CLS tail-lights is much more nicer looking, more aggressive looking.

ECUs
So instead of buying myself a Christmas present this year I decided to get something that would benefit everyone here. More ECU's lol they aren't cheap but, it will give us the ability to test more tunes. If you would like to help please reach out to brabus and renntech and let them know you would like c450amg to test their tunes. Merry Christmas

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum, and there has been much lively discussion about this car. I've had mine for 2 weeks. This is what I can tell you:
The autobahn video is definitely a C450, and not a C63 (my neighbor has a C63, and every comment regarding the differences was correct).
Mine is debadged, but if you're a Benz guy, you'll know right off that it's a C450, because it's in Cardinal Red. Not an available color for the other cars except the C63.
The acceleration data put out recently is certainly spot on. No formal testing for me yet, but 0-60 is an easy 4.4 at worst.
As for the "sport" vs. "true amg" debate, I could care less. This is my daily driver, I live in the NE and 4WD is a must. I CAN drive my C450 everyday, my neighbor, with his C63...not so much. As for the interior, I did go for the black and red interior with black wood. In my car, it's fine, because, it's a red car. I think it would be great with a black car as well. Other exterior colors...probably not. But, I must say, I do look forward to my morning commute these days!

Congrats...I have a red on order as well. However, the red is definitely not exclusive to the C63/450, you can also get it on the smaller engine models.

I stand corrected. When I ordered the car in September, cardinal red was only an option on the C450 and the C63. This was part of my argument to my wife that I HAD to have the C450, since red cars have a very special meaning to me.

Car finally came in
My car came in a week early and I picked it up on Friday. I am still learning all of the electronics. A few things seems less intuitive than my last BMW, such as not be able change a station on the steering wheel or hard entry phone numbers. I already have the runflats off, replacing them with the Conti DSW. I like the look of the 19's. If I knew finding take-offs or aftermarket wheels would be so difficult, though, I would have stuck with the 18's.
The car is a blast and my teenage son loves the interior, especially the seats. I wasn't sure about the red stitching & seat belts, but it's not as loud in person. The performance seats are snug, but still comfortable.
Not the best photos, but here is my car.....

i have these 20x10 +45 wheels sitting at my place from my S4 that i no longer have, tires are 255/30/20, i am going to see if they will fit on the C450 this weekend, it looks like they might fit, is there anyone with a C450 that went aftermarket wheels yet? i can't find anything lol

Hey buddy your thinking is off. To each his own. It's cleaner without the badges. It's easier for my detailer to clean my car. Even if i had a c63s amg, then I would debadge that too. Ive debadged all my cars. I dont like extra "magnets" glued on per se.

I would highly not recommend it. You would need a 45mm spacer to clear the suspension arm and your wheel and tire would stick out about 65mm more than the original. I don't think our cars were design to fit wide tires and wheels in the front.
I found some 18x8 +45 offset with 235/40/18 winters off kijiji. They would be w204 C63 wheels. They rears fit nicely. But I had to get 20mm hub centric spacers to get the fronts to fit.

Damn it! i have never owned a car with staggered wheels before, guess i will sell these Vossens and put that cash into a set of custom made wheels, hopefully by summer other C450 owners will have tried a few different size/offsets.
Thanks for the info, i appreciate it

Hey guys and gals, I ordered a C450 this past week for an early April arrival date - can't wait!
I have a question for you all:
The dealership was CERTAIN that the C450 that I ordered will be manufactured and arriving from Germany - which was a big selling point for me.
I was quite surprised to hear that bc I thought in more recent years, that any C Classes delivered anywhere in North America, was manufactured at their US plant in Alabama... and the few people I talked to about this were also sure that all C Classes as far as they were concerned, were made in North America that would be delivered to either Canada or US...
But again, the dealership was 1000% sure that it would be arriving from Germany... not that I have any reason not to believe the dealership, as they were THAT certain, but can anyone else here (from either Canada or the US) that has a 2016 C class, confirm one way or another if theirs had been made in Germany?
Many thanks!

probably not on the C450.. ;-)
that said,
I think it would be true to say that
the engine, is 100% made in Germany
the transmission, is 100% made in Germany
much of the interior, is 100% made in Germany
the wheels, are 100% made in Germany
the ECU/s, is 100% made in Germany
the process, is 100% made in Germany
the body panels are most likely NA only
the paint is most likely done NA only
some of the sub-components are most likely NA only
and the final assembly for NA vehicles is done in AL / USA
but the process defined, is 100% made in Germany

Made in US
All C's are made (or assembled) in the US, including the ones to Canada.
