If you live in the U.S. I think anyone can join the Delta Community Credit Union. They have rates as low as 1.69% for 60 months with great credit. Best I've found so far.

Wish I knew about Delta before I purchased. I went with MBFS in the end.

Just curious hart, how much is the monthly lease payment for your offer currently, without counting the .0004 discount you've been fighting for on the MF

Maxed out with 10 MSD's and no Maintenance or Tire/Wheel Plan capitalized: $716/mo (including the 7.5% sales tax)

If I then include a 3 year Maintenance plan at an assumed cost of $1200, $733/mo.

This is assuming the current MBFS 56% residual on a 3 year, 15k mile/yr lease.

Any word from the pioneer Cajun?

Hope all is well, not like him to not come out with the review shortly after getting parts installed.

I think he said he was waiting on some different piping before doing the review, I could be wrong tho.

C450
Went into the stealership here in Denver with my cla and I've been eyeing the c450, they had a pearl white red leather interior, night package, black wood grain, HUD, etc etc. I ended up getting a steal getting out of my cla and moving to the c450.

Now time to start building this thing for SEMA 2016!

Broken Promises

Hi all

I've enjoyed reading posts on this forum and learning about the c450 and in early March I ordered mine, spec'd exactly how I wanted it.

I had checked with the dealer a number of times to confirm the timing for build and delivery so that I could turn in my current car to BMW at the end of its lease in May and step into my new c450. The dealer assured me that the timing would work so I placed my order, excited to see the car in a few months.

About a week after placing my order I got a call saying that my interior and exterior color choices had been deleted from the factory build list, forcing me to have to choose my second choices for both - both of these changes came with price increases for me.

I sucked it up and, as I liked my second choices almost as much as my first, I resumed looking forward to the delivery of my car in early May.

This past week I stopped by the dealer to confirm timing and was told by someone in finance who I'd never spoken to that my build date had been pushed back to June or July. I was pissed, as clearly this would not work, being that I would be without a vehicle after turning in my lease in May. I told the gentleman that this was why I had timed the purchase of this vehicle the way I had in the first place. I even asked him if this meant the car would now be built as a C43 - he seemed sure that it would not.

A day later, after scouring the inventory around the country, I asked the dealer to transfer a car that I found (doing their job for them) with my third choice of color and more equipment than I originally wanted but a build that I liked very much. At this point, I was talking to the general manager because I was so irritated but how this has been handled. The guy acted as if he would move Heaven and Earth for me. A few hours later he's e-mailing me telling me that the car that I want is being driven by the general manager of another dealership as his demo car and he won't give it up. Period. End of story. No offer to find another vehicle for me, not even an apology.

I am stunned at how little Mercedes seems to want my business. I have now demanded my earnest money deposit back and I'm considering what my next purchase will be.

I'm curious to know all of your thoughts or if you've had similar experiences. I'm also curious based on what I've seen here with the news of factory shutdowns as the C450 is phased out, if you all think my car was being converted to a C43 and maybe the dealer decided they were going to take a loss on selling it to me at the c450 price. Either way, they've broken too many promises for me to do business with them. Perhaps it's back to BWW with me.

Sorry you're going thru this. As a long time MB owner it's embarrassing when a crappy dealer pulls stuff like this, especially on a conquest customer. There are legit, straight dealing MB dealers out there.

On the C450 you tracked down there's not a GM in the world who's a) driving a C Class as his personal loaner and b) is so attached to it he'll refuse to sell it. Forget your current dealer...they've done nothing for you besides lie. Just get your deposit back and walk away. I doubt they ever contacted the other dealer.

Meanwhile call the dealership that has the C450 you think you'd like, ask for anyone in new car sales and tell them you're checking availability on the unit. I guarantee if they do have it, it's available.

Since you're not trading, put together the deal by remote... Email, phone etc, then drive up (or fly in) and drive it home. A demo 450 isn't going to be an especially high demand car with the C43 coming. Should be an easy deal to put together. Good luck!

Geez man, that sucks. As Mike said, sounds like a crappy dealer to me...definitely not one I would do business with. Walk away and pursue other options.

Out of curiosity what was your first build convo that had been removed from the system? I changed my build color to one of the deleted colors (Steel Grey) during the last few days of March and it went through with no issues.

Great advice, thanks. While I didnt initially know where the searched car was, now I do know the dealer with the other car so that might be worth a call. Thanks again.

Hi Yasha, i did not replace my runflats yet as I do plan to do so after I wear them out. Currently only have 3400 miles on the car after 7 months... But when I do replace them I will go for Michelin Pilot supersports

My first build was Paladium silver and black wood interior. Both of which have been discontinued.

I then went to Cardinal red with carbon fiber interior which I'd have been fine with had they not jerked me around.

Black ash is still available but Palladium has been discontinued for about 3 weeks. We got ours in and built just in time.

Give the BMW hard look a second time! Find one with the track package if looking at the new 340i. I have gone from a BMW 335 xi Msport to the C450. If you want laid back luxury with some performance, the C450 is for you. If you want driving fun, it is the Bimmer. Lack of aftermarket parts, ie..exhaust and especially wheels (right now only a very few and Mercedes wheels because of the offsets due to the big brakes) is something I really miss leaving the Bimmer. I really think there are some quality issues with the C class yet....20th out of 20 on JD Powers initial build quality for 2015.... This is my 2 cents worth. If you like driving excitement, the new M2 is great, but the build wait list is out until late Sept to get one built.

Yeah, I wouldn't blame you for washing your hands of MB and going back to a known quantity after this nonsense.

That's why I'm not a fan of ordering a custom build. The timing honestly never works out as they say it would. I had the same issue when I ordered my mustang with a "special" color 3 months turned into 7months!!! Anyways, I still wouldn't go with the bmw 340i because it's not nearly as fun as the c450.

Sport+ Crackle pop

I had posted earlier that my car stopped making the crackle Pop exhaust noise and instead held high RPM when letting off the gas in Sport + mode. It finally went into the dealer and they told me that "There are no fault codes and the vehicle is operating within spec". I had feared this result and now the battle begins. I will let you know how it eventually works out.
