The claims are accurate, the OE tune will make these cars animals...450 hp+
I'm sure the owner will chime in soon with the details..car trapped 105 stock...
Might be a stupid question but I assume these tunes void all warranties? If you take the car in for service do you remove the tune to go back to stock?
It would be nice if you could configure the individual mode to switch to the tune and off if not
2018 E63S: Former cars 2016 C450, 2013 C350, 2009 C300

I take mine in all the time for service they don't even know mine has a tune... Or didn't until I added the exhaust lol you don't have anything to worry about unless you tell them. Even then if you have a good relationship with your service center I.E. Take them donuts and **** every now and then they tend to overlook things... This is all theoretical of course
Hello everyone. I am new here, and while I am sure all of my answers are found covered over these 172 pages of thread, I am planning on making a purchase this week for a C450 and want to know if there is anything I need to be looking for/aware of before I finalize the purchase. I have never owned a Mercedes Benz but after driving the C450 I am definitely sold. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First thing that came to mind - maybe consider the C43?

Push the dealer hard for at least 15% discount from MSRP for a car on the lot. Tell him that if he can get you the discount you'll drive off with it today, if not you'll order a C43 and shop around other dealerships for the best discount on a pre-order.
The C43 has minor changes from the C450. Transmission is upgraded to 9G form the current 7G gearbox and a dynamic exhaust button is added which allows even more versatility and fun with the exhaust.

The latter change is a $1,250 upgrade, so factor that in as well. The standard "free/no up charge" exhaust is still the same as it was on the C450.

I just bought a 2016 C450 for 16% off sticker...I pick it up this Saturday.
Couple fun shots out in the wild... Tahoe makes a gorgeous backdrop.
Just got the AWE Touring Exhaust installed this week as well as the Mode Carbon rear lip and diffuser. Will be putting up the reviews on the site within the week. Also installed the Turbokits.com BOV spacers and man, what a cool difference that is! The swooosh really turns the heads

Thanks for suggesting this. I originally thought the C43 was a coupe but now know better.

Well, I told them about dealers "across the nation" going for up to 16% off and they are not interested in dealing. Best I found was 8%, which I am not saying is horrible, but another few thousand dollars in my pocket will help me put more towards mods.

Man, I still cannot believe that it is a factory exhaust. It is insanely loud and very, very unique. I will not say it is the best tone, but it is the best stock exhaust I have ever heard.

Flat plane crank v8 is one of the best ways to make noise. It the the explanation for Ferrari's distinct V8 screams.
Here's a cool write up from jalopnik a while back. http://jalopnik.com/what-is-a-flat-p...-ex-1659688239

Nice look. Ordered a C43 last week with the same color and wheels.
Did you get the night package or do the wrap yourself?

I do not have the night package so I had to vinyl wrap everything that was silver or chrome on the car. It was somewhat of a hassle but make such a huge difference! As for the wheels, they are the 19" AMG Multi-spoke wheels in titanium which I had powder coated in gloss black. Then there are the very small details which only I notice, like my key

It's all in the details
Thanks. Love the key
Trying to decide wether to add the night package to my order. I still have time to make changes and $200 seems fair for somebody else to do it. The look of your car is awesome and now you have me thinking about powder coating the wheels. It IS all in the details. Unfortunately there are always more details.
