Roger that... we should probably do something in the middle, maybe in the State College vicinity (so that we can both take a drive ).

Your right... I'll be there for an hour or so, but have the pictures forever.

Yeah, I love Nikon. My first DSLR was a Nikon D70, and then I got a D2x (which is a monster, that I still have) followed by the D700. And then I wanted to see how Nikon's video was, so I got the D7100. (I do a lot of sports photography).

If they leave me alone at the dealer for a little while, I'll end up with two or three hundred pics.

Yeah, XPEL recently updated their site with the new 2016 patterns. Are you getting decent quotes for the full front wrap? I was quoted a crazy $5800 for a full bumper-to-bumper wrap with XPEL Steath film (which is a little more expensive than the clear Ultimate film, but not that much more).

It is probably very electric in the city this weekend. I guess you are pretty much boxed in with all the road closures.

Sorry, about the Jets. I am not sure how the Eagles landed on the winning side this week.

The wraps are some serious buck. Too rich for my blood. The dealer will take care of my small scratches and dings and I have a killer body shop for the big stuff. Hopefully, I will not need any of the big stuff with the C450.

The add-ons after the sale are worst then buying a new iPhone.
* $1,300 prepaid 4 years maintenance
* $2,200 tire and wheel protection plus 5 years
* $2,500 7 yr/75K miles extended warranty
* $ 500 for 3 years for basic mbrace

And I still need a winter tire package ~$1,800 ... Dang I am broke but will have piece of mind.

Do what makes you feel good, but I would NOT spend that kind of money on add-ons. I am in the car business and know that is how dealers makes money. I have also done a lot of research on these things. The $2,200 for tire and wheel protection, in the case you damage a tire or wheel, I think is insane. Extended warranty on new cars almost always never work out in the buyers favour. MB already gives you warranty for 4 years. 80% of people who buy new, and plan to keep their cars for 7 years or so, almost always trade within 5 years, and the chance that the car is fine for the first 4 years 50K miles, and then get problematic after is unlikely. Even if you have to use the warranty in year 5 or 6, unless the cost exceed, say $4,000, (unlikely, but possible) it doesn't make sense spending $2500 plus interest if you finance, 5 years in advance, when the chance of the expense is more unlikely than likely. As I said, do what you feel is right with your money, but the numbers are not in your favour.

That's funny. My first DSLR was a D70. I loved that camera till the day the shutter died. I then went to a D5100, but was never satisfied with having dig into menus to change simple things like ISO and there was no DOF, which I found very annoying. I sold the D5100 when the D7100 came out and have been very happy with it since. I've never gone full frame and for my needs, DX works just great.

In the US basic MBrace is standard for 5 years for 2016 cars.

I know it is possible to order the C450 AMG without the Panorama roof, but does that mean without that option, the roof is solid metal (no sunroof or moonroof)? I hate those open view roofs, which so many luxury vehicles come standard with (such as many of the MB AMG models & Audi S models).

It look like most of the local dealers with the C450 AMG ordered the Panorama roof on the mostly loaded vehicles on the lot. This means I would need to place a factory to get what I want.

Apparently there are many versions of mbrace:

mbrace® Connect (5-year complimentary service)** $0

mbrace® Concierge (billed monthly, 3-month trial available)*** $20

mbrace® Entertain (billed monthly, 3-month trial available)*** $18

mbrace® Secure (billed monthly, 6-month trial available) $199

M444, I agree with you regarding the sunroof. If you oder the car without the sunroof it is all metal.

Sorry that I cannot get you a better picture at night

That is correct. If you don't get the Panorama Roof, you'll get a full metal roof. And there is no other option for a moonroof/sunroof.

Thanks for the mbrace breakdown. I need correct an earlier statement that I prepaid 3 years for the mbrace @secure ~$500.00

The 5 year complimentary service essentially gives you:
1) remote start
2) unlock your car if you accidentally lock your keys in the vehicle.

For piece of mind I wanted the secure. I cannot see myself using mbrace concierge but we'll see how the next 3-months go.

He also thinks the rear of the C450 looks dated? He kind of lost credibility with me when he said the interior of the new A4 was ahead of the interior of the C450.

It is amazing how many aspects are similar between this C450 & the newer S3 & B9 S4. The air vents look similar to the S3. I don't care for the iPad placement, but Audi is also going this way also. The one other thing that could be improved is the rasp file polka dot grille. I would probably blackout de-chrome it, but these are all minor issues.

I'll need to test drive the new MB C450 AMG, the B9 S4 is probably a year away, but the C450 is here now - choices, choices.

On the bright side he seemed very impressed with the power of the engine and the ride. I don't intend to get the performance seats and I fully disagree with his views on the rear end design, so I chalk it up as a positive review.

I am very happy with the looks of the car. As good as the German website was for the configuration of the vehicle I was to sure if "what you see is what you get" but I very happy with my selection. Someone mentioned it in an early review that there is a lot of technology on the car and I second that opinion. It will take a while to get used to all the gizmos.

May everyone receive their C450 soon now that the VPC has gotten over the hump with the certifications.
Looks awesome, glad you finally got it. Enjoy!

Nice... Yeah, I love using a 400mm lens on a DX camera and getting the equivalent of a 600mm

Regarding the 5yr complimentary mbrace connect... can anyone confirm that it includes remote start? I really hope it does, but the online description of the service from Mercedes only mentions remote door unlock/lock and remote horn and lights. I don't understand why these would be included and not remote start.

MBrace Connect which is complimentary for the first five years, does indeed include Remote Start. It requires the mbrace Mobile Application, available for iPhone and likely Android.

I'm actually very glad to see they are leaving the 4MATIC badge off of the C450. I like the cleaner look and the differentiation from just about every other Mercedes-Benz vehicle on the road up in this part of the country. I actually considered adding the rear deck lid badge delete to my order, but what what I really wanted was to delete the 4MATIC badge and keep the C450. Happy to see this is the default!

Also glad to see they are indeed being built with the gloss-black mirrors and window trim despite the photos on the MBUSA configurator.

Weird that the actual finished build differs so much from the configurator pics! (mirrors and window trim are wrong, 4MATIC badge, etc.)

Glad to see folks finally taking delivery after all the delays. Looking forward to more pics and first impressions!

I actually never noticed it, but all of the pictures in the 1.1 order guide show the "C450" badge by itself on the back. And the delete codes are for the "C450" badge and the "AMG" badges on the side (not for the "4MATIC").

It was only the configurator pics that had it.
