Hey, does anyone know for sure, if the C450 will have available heated seats? I'm in Canada, heated seats would be nice

It's a premium model. They will at least be an option.

That's my thoughts, but it baffles me that it isn't available on the C400, whilst every other competitor offers it.

My Mistake! Sorry, I meant to ask about heated steering wheel, not heated seats. Heated seats standard. Sorry!

Remote start to go along with the heated steering wheel would be awesome, especially in Canada. It would be nice to have both here in the northeast USA too.

You will never get a German car with remote start from factory. Idling a car is illegal in Germany

Different countries can have different specs. From what I understand, some countries don't allow some of the drivers assistance features. I assume it all depends on the demand and if not having remote start in the US would hurt sales or not.

It has nothing to do with sales. The fact is, idling a car is illegal in most European countries, because of emissions, etc. So, most European car companies, not only don't install remote starter, they make it difficult for after market tuners to install. It's just a corporate and political topic that these governments are passionate about. Some of these cars will have a supplemental heater to warm the car quickly, without the need to idle, burn fuel and pollute. We here in North America sees things differently, and I'm not saying the Europeans are right or wrong, i'm just stating the facts.

Interesting political anti pollution stance from MB; a company that builds 500+ HP cars.

Quote: On your C400, when you are in sport or sport plus, does it change the sound of the exhaust over the comfort or eco settings? Is there any "rumble" at all? Or just quiet? I'm curious
Not sure about the C400 but on the C300 there is a difference in sound during gear changes in Sport + that no other modes have. A bit of an intake/exhaust "burp" if you will, during gear changes. I don't notice any difference at idle or crusing speed.

Just went to a MB dealer yesterday to custom order a C400...only to find out that it's discontinued, so can't order it anymore. Does anyone know when the C450 will be orderable in the US?

And the Europeans have far higher fuel standards for emissions reasons. To move US refineries to Euro 6 would be a costly exercise requiring an increase in fuel price. SA, as an example is only now moving to Euro 4. US & SA gasoline quality is at a similar level.

Was playing around with the Mercedes De configurator today. The C450 looks like it comes with the same 5 spoke 18 inch wheels that the C300 AMG Line and C400 come with. The optional 19s are the same multi spokes that the C300 and 400 can get, and the third option is the ones that everyone (in the other threads) hated.

Guys, just to bring the thread back to life.

I just finalized my order and price for my 2016 C450 AMG today at the Mercedes Benz of Fort Washington in Pennsylvania. From what I am told, I am the first pre-order for the C450 on the east coast as I have placed this order in end of May, before any pricing was released. Pricing was finally released this past week and I went in to finalize the specs and options of my c450.

I ordered a Polar White with Sport Cranberry Red Interior with Linden Wood trim
-Panorama sunroof
-Full LED and bi-Xenon Lighting package
-Rearview Camera

Pricing are as follows:
Base 50800
Leather interior package 2480
Lighting package 800
rearview camera 460
panorama roof 1480
Destination charge 925
Total 56945

I was able to receive $3000 off plus wheel locks and all weather MB weathertechs thrown in as freebies.

Car wont be ready until 3rd-4th week of August and Im sure I won't see it until after Labor Day but boy! AM I EXCITED!! Hope this thread helps!

Oh and I am spec'ed to have the 5 spoke AMG wheels 18'' BLACK. not sure which ones they are, if anyone can help me shed some light on that, much appreciated!!

btw,

Blind spot assist and a rear spoiler, along with SPORT interior and exterior are all standard in the C450. Also, the AMG suspension taken straight from the C63 is a great plus as well as the mechanical limited slip differential.

I envy you man! I have to say, those prices seems very reasonable to me. Is navigation standard equipment? I would have added the HUD, thats a great feature. Congrats man

Thanks my man! Yea, the price was better than I had initially thought!! I was thinking of paying close to 60k for the vehicle but the base price of the 450 is only 2k more than the outgoing c400.

I did not add navi/multimedia pkg, i was told the navi is accessible via sd card and opting to purchase a navi sd card is a cheaper option. Plus i do not like the bigger screen on the navi pkg. the smaller screen has the same resolution and should be great enough. Also, i prefer navi on my phone lol.

I have tried HUD on many cars including the 2015 CTS and 2014 435 coupe and i have to say it is too distracting for me. I like to drive w as little distractions as possible hence my distaste for the larger multimedia screen.

Congratulations... are you doing a purchase or a lease? I'm quite interested to find out what lease terms will be so I can make a decision on ordering one myself.
