Running in.. Nearly there.
So I'm at 1300km.. Nearing the magic 1500km that the manual says I can start to stretch the engine a bit.

Sick of babying the car, can't wait to give it some stick and enjoy it!

Certainly at this point, with the engine at normal operating temperature, there's nothing you could do to hurt it. Go have some fun.

I have given the car plenty of stick when running in the engine in my last 3 cars over the past 7 years, all ran sweet since and no oil burners.

I am looking for excuses to drive it, I have gone past 5k rpm only once, I am at ~1300km as well (820 miles).

As long as you guys see no abnormal temperature rise you can push your cars. That's more than enough mileage. If temp goes above normal you still have a tight engine then back off.

An occasional push of the go button to warm up the motor won't kill it. It's constant autobahn-esque speeds they're more concerned with!

It's not an issue unless temperature rises at the above mileages. Frequent bursts at full throttle recommended. Still avoid constant throttle for hours. If you have to do a long trip back off throttle every 10 minutes or so & accelerate again.
