Just picked up my 15 C300 11 days ago and haven't had much rain driving yet, but every time my wipers come on they chatter and bounce all over the place. Anyone else have this issue? I took it in once and had them replaced, have another appointment setup for Thursday. Hoping it can get fixed cuz it sucks, just wondered if anyone else experienced this.

Mine will skip and bounce for the first 10 swipes. After that it starts to smoothen out.

There could still be residue on the windshield from when it was shipped from the factory. Try cleaning the windshield with something strong, like isopropyl alcohol and/or use a windshield treatment from Armor Guard, which would definitely make your wipers wipe smoother.

I had the same problem when my car was new. I took it in, and they changed the blades and coated the windshield with some type of coating. They have been fine ever since.

I have wiper chattering issue start from the beginning. It "fixed" itself after several weeks (while no rain, but test another time when raining). Then I applied RainX, it is back now! lol...

I took it in the shop, they replaced wiper arm, replaced blades several times, cleaned wind shield. Chattering gone!

But there's squeaking noise which is also (however less) annoying. It's again in the shop now, they said there is nothing they could do. We'll see after I get the car back tomorrow.

I doubt it will be fixed. Then I will try cleaning the wind shield with Spray Way Glass Cleaner- I bought it from home depot as recommended by other owners. Hope it works with other cleaning solutions - eg.vinegar (distilled), rubbing alcohol. There may be a problem with MB Wiper fluid (I don't think so though). after market wiper may not work if you have a later wiper arm design - A special tool required to take wiper out, which is my case otherwise if you have an earlier design (which I doubt since you just took the vehicle.), you can try Bosch 22 OE.

Thanks Arnold. I had the blades replaced the day after I took delivery, and didn't get to try out in the rain much. Over the weekend I did rainX the windshield and that night it rained so this could also be my problem. I just can't see how MB has these little issues that shouldn't exist. I just got out of an Infiniti lease and had not 1 issue as far as the car itself went. Had rainX on it no wiper issues, nothing. MB seems to be trying to reinvent the wheel on certain things it shouldn't. I guess I will see what come out of the dealer on Thursday.

I went from Chevy Equinox no issues at all during 2 years ownership. 6~7 times in the shop for C300 now, but I am still in love with it!
