AMG-Sport is dead. C450 will now be AMG C43
If you own a 450 now its going to stay that way forever!
If you re badge your car it wont make it a true AMG!
Supposedly its going to happen between Jun/Jul. (might change)
From a very reliable source from Mercedes!
If you are arguing metaphysics, this isn't metaphysics.
Oh, and be very, very clear on this: in the U.S., under title certificate acts, registration is NOT title, or evidence of it but the mere right, prima facie, to possession, and the right to operate the vehicle on roadways. A certificate of title is evidence of who owns the vehicle, and nothing more-get pulled over in many states and hand the cop a certificate of title when he asks for registration,...well, good luck with that.

The confusion of the practical and the legal, and asserting that one controls the other is simply misleading on the best of days.
Now, if Mercedes says you have a c450, and we won't do Jack Squat retrospectively, first, practically, you can modify the markings any way you like, but, legally, it would be fraud to seek a change in the title CERTIFICATE!
apparently, in Europe and Scandinavia, form triumphs over substance, but that is not so, here. By that logic, all the debadged cars are something other than what is reflected in the title certificates. Yeah, right....
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
No, that's not how most legitimate dealers would operate. If the original window sticker and codes indicate that the vehicle is a 2016 C450 AMG Sport, they will be selling it as such. However, if customers request that the C450 badging be removed or changed on a car they're purchasing or have purchase, dealers would almost certainly oblige.
Like you, I just can't imagine that MB would ever retroactively alter or change the Netstar designations for these vehicles, generate new digital and physical window stickers for them, and then send them to dealerships along with new badges to rebadge existing vehicles. Pretty sure that's unheard of.
Something like that would be easier to believe (and more logical) if they somehow decided to make this change mid-cycle for the 2016s, with vehicles produced within the second half of the 2016 production cycle suddenly becoming C43s, but even that might be unheard of. Production on 2016 C450s will cease within the next few months, and by the time the 2017 C43s are released later this year, there will likely be very few leftovers out there anyway, as these are not high-volume production vehicles for MB.

All I care about is that not all models of C class are lumped into an insurance group. That means C400 and C450 will have a limited amount of owners, risk stays small and insurance stay cheap.
I already know I'll save $300 a year by switching from S4 to C450. Because the insurance industry has no history on C450 yet while S4 has gained in popularity so much that insurance goes up by quite a bit for every year that I owned it.
Agree.
The pictures of the cab do not even have the AMG logo inside on the panel.

That cab (in my eyes) Looks like they didnt take their time properly, i think it looks to flat. The part after windshield is basicly flat all the way back. Dunno maybe people like it that way but i dont.
