The option packages are different between the coupe and sedan. Most relevant is the LED headlights, standard on the coupe and optional on the sedan. On the Sedan, the C43 comes with P01 as standard, and the C63/s comes with P02 as standard. As such, the C43 sedan to coupe jump includes some additional features (such as the LEDs) that are the same between the C63 coupe and sedan....

Yeah, that would certainly account for the difference...good call.

Well, new ones are selling for 16.5% easily, so I'd expect 10-15% off on top of that. You're going to get killed, there is no way around that. You're off-loading a car that no longer exists after one year of ownership...there is really no way to avoid taking it on the chin.

The Coupe also includes the Panaroma Sunroof standard (in addition to the heated seats, Premium 1, LED lights, etc.)

Yes, absolutely there are other changes between standard features on the coupe and sedan. They just doesn't impact the price delta of the sedan and coupe between the C43 and C63, unless they are part of the sedan's P02 package and standard or on the P01 coupe package.

Here is what I am expecting:

AMG C43 Coupe $55,500
992 Selenite Grey $720
224 Saddle Brown/Black $1,620
H73 - Carbon Fiber $1,300
604 - 19" Twin 5-Spoke w/black accents $850
281 - AMG Perf Steering Wheel w/DINAMICA inserts $500
P03 - Premium 3 Package $5,100
521 - AMG Night Package $200
U78 AMG Performance Exhaust $1,250
401 - Heated and Ventilated Seats 1,030
DESTINATION & DELIVERY $925

Total $68,995

Most of these estimates are based the C300 order guide pricing, on last year from the C450, or prices of other models where there are new options (i.e. AMG Performance Exhaust). My biggest guess here is the cost of the P03 Package, where I am assuming the Sedan pricing to translate over with the removal of the P01 package (as it is included standard on Coupes).

TBH, I will probably remove the Heated and Ventilated Seats (and leave them with only the standard Heated seats, no ventilated) to bring the cost down a bit...will have to see how it would impact the monthly payment before I decide for sure. I'd add the HUD, but all indications are that would delay my build until late this year which isn't an option for me.

yeah, after test driving a Model S P90D yesterday and doing a Ludicrous Mode launch and testing out autopilot on the highway and not touching the wheels or pedals for about 15 miles, I'd have to go for a CPO one of those - As much as I love the C43

Isn't the Tesla awe inspiring? I test drove a P85D last summer and was amazed by the torque and the silence. All the MB parts inside (door handle, window switches, rain/column gear selector are all from MB) made me feel at home.

This was the one I test drove up in Mt. Kisco

My fear is it will be too much of a price jump purchasing/owning a "AMG" C43 compared to the C450...so much so that come trade in time I might have to look elsewhere....like a BMW 340i, an Audi S4, or a Jaguar XE R-Sport.

As much as I like my 2015 C300, the addition of a 9 speed transmission and a small token bump in HP is not enough for me to purchase another C300 come 2018.

I feel that I actually came out on top in my decision to cancel the C450 and wait for the C43 coupe...but that is driven primarily by the fact that I can carry my 10% discount to the C43 Coupe, thanks to some luck in negotiating.

My old C450 Sedan build was:
  • MSRP = $64,680
  • Discount (10%) = ($6,468)
  • Fleet = ($2000)
  • Total Selling Price =$56,212

My C43 Coupe (assuming I leave the the ventilated seats added on):
  • MSRP = $68,995
  • Discount (10%) = ($6,900)
  • Fleet = ($500)
  • Total Selling Price =$61,596

Delta in price is $5,384 more for the C43 Coupe (only $4,457 if I remove the ventilated seats).

For that increased cost, I receive the following improvement in the C43 Coupe over my previous C450 order:
  • Coupe bodystyle and performance
  • One model year newer (with what I expect to be a much better resale value)
  • AMG Performance Exhaust
  • 9-Speed tranny
  • Drivers Assistance Package
  • AIR BALANCE
  • Carbon Fiber Trim
  • Ventilated seats (both have heated seats)
  • Power folding mirrors
  • Any other "improvement" that is standard from C43 to C450, including potential for better fuel economy, decrease in 0-60, etc.

Things I lose going from my C450 to a C43:
  • Designo interior (instead of the Designo Saddle Brown I am going with the non-Designo Saddle Brown, as the Designo isn't an option)

Very happy with my decision to hold off a few additional months and wait...not sure I'd be so happy though if my 10% discount had changed materially, though.

Keep in mind there are other variables not being considered, namely maintenance cost and insurance cost. Just branding this car an AMG has moved it up a level in both. If you got the bread then why not of course but just something others may be taking into consideration.

Wait. Don't tell me you paid list for your car. I got about 8% off MSRP and in hindsight I got ****ed a little.

I believe the maintenance, wheel insurance, etc was already billed at the AMG rate on the C450... at least that is what was dicussed with the MBFS guy the time I went in to get quotes during my C450 wait. I'll never own the AMG outside of warranty, so I'm not concerned about a delta there.

I'm not sure how much the increase in car insurance will be.

I don't know the precise percentage but I think if you put your nuts on a table and smacked them three times with a small cactus that would be a pretty close approximation.

C43 AMG Coupe
Does anyone have an update on C43 sedan availability in Australia? Approximate dates for orders and deliveries? I am getting mixed messages from dealers. One saying only coupe available to order from August, delivery a few months after, but sedan not available until next year! The other is stating both sedan and coupe available to order from August.

Any updates would be greatly appreciated

Only if your dealership isn't populated by doofuses. Today local dealership did not know that C43 coupe ordering was open and didn't know when it wold be.
Oh well...not buying from them anyway.

Not surprising - just called up the MB hotline for customer care. Nice woman - but totally clueless that C43 was available. Not her fault - BMW just as bad. She did come back that she thought MSRP was "around $55,5000" which goes with what Vipershade stated - but not what is listed on a previous reply ($52,000) from g8rgrl. Anybody really know? That's a huge disparuty

This is the first thing that stood out to me as well. Seems high.

EDIT: read other responses, makes sense now.
