Have you seen it in person? Our dealership had this color on one of their showroom vehicles, I think it was a GLE 63. It looked amazing in natural light. On a computer screen it's very underwhelming.

I have, and I actually thought the exact opposite. I thought it looked fantastic in pictures and kind of "blah" in real life...especially when it's been all fingered up, then it looks really ****ty. Would be an absolute nightmare to keep clean.

Different strokes for different folks!

I can now confirmed that this information is not correct. There is definitely no button on the centre console to control the exhaust, that option is ONLY available on the C63. I spoke to someone that just drove the C43 coupe, and he said he didn't notice any difference with the sound of the exhaust, compared to the C450

Odd, because the first official C43 Coupe review clearly states that the coupes exhaust is much more aggressive than the cabriolet/sedan....and that is exclusive of any AMG Performanxe Exhaust option. He just said it sounds different bc it's the Coupe and Mercedes/AMG intended for it to. The same as the 63 Coupe is designed to be more aggressive sounding. So, odd that it sounds "the exact same" as the 450...given the Coupe sounding different thing alone. I trust the reviews, and I trust that an AMG performance exhaust that is an up charge (which you adamantly denied existing since day 1) comes with some type of a benefit...plus it's the same part number as the C63, so it'd be odd for it to be completely different. All that said, this is just speculation, we will find out for sure soon enough.

Yeah I'm not sure this is true. If you look at the German configurator it shows the performance exhaust as an option for the c43, and once you select it it also shows the exhaust button if you look at the interior pictures. So this would suggest that your info is wrong.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. And I'm curious who did you speak to that drove the c43 and maybe they didn't have the performance exhaust option on their car hence why he didn't notice any difference or see an exhaust button.

MERCEDES GLA45
C43 Specs and CLS63s

I have decided to transfer my August C43 delivery to my wife, a longtime lead foot. She had a C300 4matic on order, but opted for more power. In the meantime, I located a buyer for my GLA45, and found a very low mileage CPO CLS 63S and pulled the trigger. The C43 will probably be the better al around daily driver, but the 577hp/590 ft. Will be fun. Besides, on arrival, the ecu gets swapped for a Renntech version giving 699/730. I'm smiling

Curious...since I'm relatively new to MB (a convert from Audi and my current S5). Although I'm just about set to go in the direction of Obsidian black metallic for a C43...I happened to see on the road recently an S coupe in what I think was Diamond Silver metallic..Surprising when I looked at the inventory at two dealers for ANY MB in this color...none to be found - in over 300 cars . Am I missing something here...or is it that unpopular? Looked incredibly good and very rich on the S coupe (assuming it was Diamond Silver metallic)

Well, all the videos I've seen online, does have the exhaust sounding more aggressive than the C450, I even post one a while back, so maybe my guy (a prominent dealer in Toronto) is just full of sh*t. There's no doubt though, that the C43 is an upgrade over the C450, on many levels

Here is my diamon silver C450. It's not very popular as white, black and iridium silver are on dealer lots.

I think the one he drove didn't have that option on the build. Not optioned= same exhaust as C450 probably.

Oh really? The same button as the C63 on the same part number does something completely different? That's very, um....interesting.

Interested to hear what you come back with.

My eyes are not fooling me, that button is clearly for the exhaust, no ambiguity there

I think what Gung is referring to is the seat belt tensioner/adjustment button on console. Some people initially thought that was the exhaust valve controller but was not.

Haha yes, my post was blatant sarcasm directed at Guns (for his general ridiculousness in his posts).

Looks like Automann prefers the C43 exhaust to the C63. That's gotta be a first.
